Kageyama sped walked down the sidewalk, he knew he was late, and the bus was probably already at the bus stop. He also knew that Hinata would probably yell at him for staying up all night again but could you blame him? His friends were practically roasting Osamu alive last night in the group chat which never happens so of course he had to be there for it.

He saw the familiar broken streetlight near the bus station and an even more familiar small orange haired omega running towards him.

"HEY! Why the hell are you late Kageyama?! I was waiting for you, and I got super worried because you were supposed to be here by now and so was Suna, but I think he's sick and now the bus is late too-" Hinata kept rambling until Kageyama finally cut him off. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I woke up a little late today."

The two of them went to sit down on a bench. "Sorry but uh- Who's Suna again?" "What do you mean 'who's Suna?' I talk to him like every day!" Hinata kept talking but Kageyama kept spacing out. Eventually the bus pulled up and he had to prepare himself for a whole day of school while he's totally out of it.

-

During lunch, Hinata had scurried away from Kageyama to join up with his own friend group. Hinata remembered himself being a little upset at Kageyama for not wanting to hang out with his other friends a little while ago but that was fine. Hinata didn't like Kageyama's friend's either. They were all loud and irritating alphas and he'd rather not bother with them.

Hinata set his lunch box down, ignoring his other friends who were bothering him about Suna's absence. Honestly, he wasn't sure either considering their whole group told each other everything. As Hinata stared across the cafeteria, a hand suddenly waved in front of his face, making him flinch.

"Uh, hello? Hinata? Are you listening?" Sugawara said to him. "O-oh. Sorry, what happened?"

"Akaashi was just telling us about how he got detention this weekend." Suga sighed and sat back down. "Huh? Akaashi got detention? How?"

"I wouldn't have to tell you twice if you were just paying attention. Anyway, it wasn't really my fault. I didn't do anything. He kept irritating me when he was supposed to be doing his weird theater kid stuff. I don't even know why the school thought it would be a good idea to have the art club and the theater club share a classroom, but I hate it."

Hinata stared at the upset omega, not sure if he should feel sorry for him or laugh at him. Akaashi usually didn't talk that much so listening to him rant meant he was probably really pissed about getting detention for the first time. "Wait- That doesn't really answer my question. How did you get detention?"

"Um...well. I kind of, maybe... Hit him? Just a little?" Akaashi said sort of shyly.

"Hinata, I can't believe you actually missed this story." Kenma chimed in, setting his phone down on the table. "Yeah, even Kenma paid attention. Is something going on? Ooh- Let me guess! You have a crush on someone?" Suga teased, ruffling Hinata's hair. He wasn't too far off but there were a couple other reasons why he was spacing out. "Shut up! I do not!"

-

Osamu stared at his phone, the screen practically frozen on Suna's contact. He felt sort of creepy for sending him so many texts, but he was worried and kept growing more anxious when the omega didn't reply to him.

The school day was almost over and he hadn't replied to any of his texts since yesterday afternoon. Osamu sighed, turning off his phone. He would just have to wait until Suna was ready to talk to him.

"Hey dummy." Atsumu's irritating voice whispered to him from the desk behind his. "Gimme your homework. I didn't do mine yesterday. Let me copy yours."

"No, what? Just do your homework, it doesn't even take that long."

"Aw come on, just a little bit? Anyway- what are you staring at your phone for?"

"Stay out of my business nosy."

"Come onnn just tell me! I'm your brother!"

"God you're so annoying. Rin hasn't texted me all day. I'm getting kinda worried about him." He hesitantly explained.

"Hmm maybe he doesn't like you anymore? Kidding- Maybe he's playing hard to get? I dunno, maybe, just saying." Atsumu shut up when he heard the bell ring, which Osamu was thankful for. "No, Rin's not like that. Stupid."
