Heated For the Alpha

Chapter No 2 The Alpha

"What on the earth, you are talking about, no it can't be," I was distraught.

"I have heard it with my ears, he asked for your hand," said Selena.

"You gotta be kidding me, I can't marry him, he is not my mate," I said, almost crying.

Selena walked towards me and sat beside me, she looked equally worried. After all, she was like my sister, she was my best friend. She tucks her hair behind her ear and bites her lower lip.

"Listen Ember, you don't have your wolf, you have not talked to your wolf, we have waited so long for your wolf but it is now obvious that you are a wolf-less which means you will never find your mate on your own. There is a possibility Nathan is your mate. Pack needs a heir and only you could give birth to male heir and that is possible if you will marry Nathan," said Selena while looking inside my eyes. 

She was saying that I was wolf-less because I have not shifted yet and I have not started talking to Alexa as well, normally wolf communicates to their outer human at the age of 7. 

"Selena, my heart drops, I don't want to put myself into this," I said with tears in my eyes.

"I can understand your feelings but we have no other option, Alpha Nathan wants to meet you," said Selena. I gasped.

"But why?" I asked.

She rolls her eyes on me.

"Silly, soon you and Nathan are engaging and he needs to talk to his upcoming Luna," she said.

"But he has his wolf, he is not like me. Why does he want to marry someone like me?" I asked.

"Because you are lucky, I think he likes you," she said smiling and got out of the room.

I stared at my reflection. My curious green eyes were staring back at me.

"Oh moon goddess, is it true? I will never ever find my mate? I have to live my life with someone who is not my mate," I said and a tear fell down on my cheek.

I walked down to the hall where everyone was sitting and eating food on the dining table.

My dad gave me a brief stare and took a deep breath, I knew he always does that when something does not happen according to his will.

Ignoring him, I sat on my usual chair.

My dad cleared his throat. I looked at him confused when he pointed at my corner side. I looked at my right side and it was difficult for me not to gasp.

He was sitting there expressionlessly. He had a dangerous aura and he seemed to not talk much.

"Hello Luna," he said and his voice shivered through my spine.

I wanted to scream that I am not your Luna.

"Hello," I said while choking on my food.

"All the arrangements for the engagement are ready," said my dad.

He did not bother to introduce me to this creepy Alpha.

"Excuse me," I said and got up.

I walked towards my room again and I could feel two eyes following me.

I shut my door and punched the wall. I did not want to get married to this bully. I remember how he teased and submitted other wolves by using Alpha command. I wish I had my wolf and I would have shown him who is the actual queen.

I fell on my bed and stared on the rooftop.

Just then my door opened with a thud. I got up. I was unable to believe my eyes that he was standing there. His eyes were turning red due to anger. I felt a jolt of anger rush through my veins. How dared he to move in my room?

He walked towards me slowly and I felt his aura was making me weak. He grabbed my arm and hissed.

"You are my mate and remember, if you dared to disobey me how would I use my Alpha command on a wolf-less girl like you," he said, angrily. He was claiming I was his mate and he was threatening me to use Alpha command on me but as I had no wolf which mean he would use other ways e.g forcing himself on me.

"Your father has betrothed you  me to as he want a child, a male heir and I am marrying you because I want this territory," he said while looking inside my eyes.

Wow, my dad just sold me to him for the male heir and he is going to marry me for this freaking territory, what I am a trade material?

"I will not marry someone like you," I said and pushed him aside and walked ahead but my steps stopped because I saw my father standing there, angrily.

I felt my soul was frozen. He walked towards me. I froze on my spot.

He clenched his teeth and slapped me on the face. I did not expect that. My father never hit me before. We had a strange relationship but he never crossed this limit.

"Do what I say, if you dare to cross your line then I promise Ember I will make your life a living hell," he said, screaming.

I was staring at him with my hand on my right cheek which was probably red now.

"Dad, I..." I tried to say but a ball of tears stuck in my throat.

"Come Alpha Nathan, we have to make some preparations for the engagement," he said.

Both men left, leaving me crying.

I fell down on my knees and begged down to the moon goddess.

"Oh moon goddess, make it easy for me. Please, help me, I can't take it anymore," I said crying.

The rain was falling heavily from the skies outside.

I never had felt this much weak before.

I wanted to escape, I wanted to live in human territory as I feel detached from the wolf world.

I hugged my pillow and started crying. Every girl of my age has already discovered their wolf. Even Selena was able to talk to her wolf and her wolf name was Talon. I felt useless and now I felt my life was wasteful but one thing I never knew was that the moon goddess had planned something else for me. Something Magical.
