Aurin's trip

The Beginning

Aurin was a poor 16 year old boy who lived in a poor family... Everyone needed to pay an amount of loney to him, leader of the lands who was the one and only King of Demons... The people who couldn't afford to pay would've been put into dungeons or even worse, they would've to work as slaves for the King and his people... They could even end up as food for the animals of the King or the King himself...

It all started when my grandpa told my little sisters Anya (Not THE Anya) and Lilly (+me) a bedtime story about when he was younger. I've already heard it but it was the first time that my sisters will be listening to it.

"TELL US!!!" Anya jumped around the old bed.
"OK OK! I will.." our gramps started, "Well, when I was younger, around 32 I worked in a mine..."

"I looked as awesome as now." He said laughing to himself.

"In his dreams!" Lilly whispered towards me.
I chuckled and faced my grandpa again.

"So there was this old mine we were forced to work in... it was within a huge scary and spooky forest, full of creatures of the dark..."

"Like witches and...Demons?" Lilly shivered as she whispered the word...

"Sadly yes." Grandpa said and patted her head.

"So, in the mine there were minors mining Iron and gold for the King....like I said before, I was young back then,,, indeed I also was a minor... a good looking one... young and good-looking..."

"Story!" Anya shouted.

"Yeah yeah,"he chuckled and sighted... "So, as I was saying, the other minors and I took a break outside of the mine...
Suddenly we heared a loud cracking sound and it came from the mine.., All of us were scared... what if the Demoms were inside of the dark cave? I myself took a look and what I saw felt unreal..." he said in a mysterious voice.

"What did you see?" Anya and Lilly both were caught up in the story and concentrated on him.

"A treasure..."Grandpa said.

"Treasure??Like the ones with the gold?? Like real GOLD???" Lilly was amazed.

"Yes... it was overflowing with gold and diamonds...
So obviously we the fools tried to get to it, but I guess there were some creatures down there, becouse as we tried to reach it the cave collapsed upon us..."

Anya and Lilly looked terrified..."What?"

"Well... I was also one of the fools to belive it was save... in the end me and some of my friends got out but many died because of the weight of the ceiling... Maybe they also got crushed by some rocks, but the survivors (including me), weren't able to get to them in time, so we don't know..."

"Why weren't you able to? You could've just dig them out?!?" Anya asked, just like I did (Aurins POV) the first the he told me...

"Well, you see sweetheart, the news of the treasure somehow reached the castle of the King, so he send his army to get it... Soon after the army pulled up and we had to leave... we didn't want to end up as their food... But rumors say that they never found the treasure so there is a chance, that it still lays inside the cave covered by tons of stone..." Granpa finished.

"We could search it then we wouldn't have prob-" Lilly got interrupted by a female voice...

"There is nothing as a treasure... Your grandfather just imagined it ever existing. Now go to bed!" It was out mother standing in the doorway of our small bedroom.

Her blond-brown hair was in a bun and she looked extremely exhausted... She must've worked all day...
I miss the times when my dad was around and she would always smile..... No she's getting more and more aggressive and rushed.... If dad wouldn't have left she would be as happy as then....

"Yeah yeah..." I smiled a bit.
She turned around and when it seemed like she had walked off grandpa said: "There is a treasure, it wasn't in my imagination!"

Anya and Lilly were still so energetic that they stayed up all night talking on and on about the treasure.
Why did grandpa tell them now?.?.
Atleast it is an interesting and sad story...
But it's also questionable.....
Maybe I could find it and save us...
