𝐬𝐢𝐱 - 𝐭𝐡𝐞 "𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞"

i waited outside exactly at 6, like he said.

my mom wasn't home yet from work, so i didn't have to worry about her.

i then saw a tall guy walking down the street, as he got closer, i realized it was niki, "ready?" he smiles,

"where are we even going?" i ask him and walked up to him, "school." he says and started walking,

"school?!" i say confused, i didn't even take a step.

he sighed and walked towards me and tied our pinkies together , "since you cant walk, i'll drag you." he rolled his eyes.

"hey-" i stumbled trying to keep up with him, "why are we going to school niki!" i try again as he pulled me,

"you'll see! jeez calm down." he sighed, i pout and just walked with him in silence.

we got to the school, all the lights were off and it was empty at this hour, niki grabbed a flashlight out his pocket,

i didn't even agree to whatever shit we were about to do.

he walked to the side door of the school, it opened with ease and we went inside, the halls were dark and quiet, not something you'd really expect at this school.

"this is so weird!" i say, niki quickly covered my mouth, "shh~~ you don't want us to get caught." he whispered in my ear, before backing away and letting go of face,

he tilted his head, signaling me to follow him, i was shock but i quickly snapped out of it and followed behind him.

he went to the library, and whoa..

it looked way better when it was dark and empty like this.

"let's read." he smiled at me, i scoffed, "you seriously wanted to break into the school to read?!" i whispered trying not to laugh, he grabbed a book and sat himself up on the table.

i walked over and grabbed a chair, he stopped me and patted the table, "what if it breaks?" i say, he chuckled quietly, "you overthink so much. come here." he pulled my waist and pulled me onto the table.

he laid my back against his chest, as he rested his back against the wall, and opened the book so it was in-front of me, i was practically laying on him,

i tried to get up but he stopped me, "just let me read to you. jesus." he whispered, "fine." i roll my eyes,

he started to read the book, quietly but enough for me to hear, not gonna lie.. i was pretty comfortable, but so confused..

if he hated me. why was i laying on him while he was reading a book to me,

i got lost into his calming voice and read the words as he spoke them, this was nice. really nice.

i smiled to myself as my thoughts took over, his pretty voice filled my ears and i could hear his calm heart beat in my left ear, how was he so calm!?

he finished a couple of pages, and i was getting tired, i began to close my eyes until-

clang!

we heard a door open.

"fuck." niki whispered and closed the book, he sat me up and carried me off the table, we sprinted over and hid behind a bookshelf as a flashlight shined inside the library.

"security! if anyone is in here! show your faces now!" i heard,

"fuck." i mouthed and looked up at niki, he was staring at the ground, it looked as if he was thinking on how to get us out of here,

he looked at me, then he looked over to the door, and back at me, nodding,

i got the gist and nodded too, guessing we were gonna make a run for it, "keep your head down." he says and he intertwined our hands, i smiled at the sudden move before we then took off running,

"hey! get back here!" i heard the security guard say, "he's running!" i whispered to niki, he laughed and began to pull me as we ran throughout the library.

i giggled as he almost tripped several times, we ran out the library and down the hall, the security guard still chasing us,

me and niki were a giggling mess. we couldn't stop laughing, what was so funny? i have no idea,

we quickly pushed the school doors open and ran out the parking lot, i looked back the security guard gave up and stopped, catching his breath,

i was still holding nikis hand, he looked over at me, and we laughed again, still running.

i was enjoying this. me and niki having a good time together? this is odd. but i didn't mind..

we ran into a mini convenience store, and caught our breath, the worker looked at us weird, before continued to read his news paper.

"holy-!" niki breathed out and leaned against the wall, i looked up at him and looked at me, we laughed again before he pulled me to a isle.

he grabbed us a drink and paid for it, once we left i immediately opened the drink and chugged it,

"whoa whoa~! slow down!" he pulled the bottle down from my mouth, "ah, sorry." i wiped my mouth with my sleeve.

he chuckled, "that was so fun." he says and we walked down the street, "very funny too!" i giggled again,

"you think he saw us?" he asked, "nah, he was running too slow anyways, but everytime we see him in school, we're gonna laugh!" i say and smiled,

we looked at each other paused for 2 seconds, before laughing again, "i've gotta get you home!" he checked his watch, it was 8 pm.

he pushed me over to the inside of the sidewalk, so i wasn't near the street side in case anything happened, almost making me trip from his sudden move.

we walked to my house in silence, just drinking our juice.

once we got to my house i didn't wanna make things awkward, so i waved before walking towards my door, but he pulled my arm making me look back,

"i had fun." he smiled, looking down at me, "yeah- me too." i rubbed my neck, "i hope we can do this again." he shrugged, "yeah!." i nodded,

"see!? it was fun, maybe you should trust me next time." he scoffed, "shut up." i rolled my eyes

he chuckled and opened his bottle, he splashed some on my shirt, making me gasp and step back a little, "what?!" i slapped his arm, "payback! see you tomorrow ~!" he waved and walked away,

oh you little-

he's lucky my shirt was black and you couldn't see the juice, but i definitely felt it,

my anger went away as i laughed to myself, oh niki~ you are something else..
