In the car

When you get into the car with your mom, your mom looks at you with sympathetic eyes, as you get pushed to the farthest back seat. Your dad gets in the car and he starts yelling at you, you put the phone to your ear and you can hear Georgie breathing heavily listening to your dad yell. Your dad then says to you, Y/n, you will drop the big sisters club, and quit going over to that house, and seeing that little girl, is that understood? you look back up, and see your mom looking at you, and she mouths sorry, you respond to your dad and say, no, dad, ive delt with way to much of your crap, and im sick of putting up with it, I dont care if you kick me out of the house, at least ill be away from you, I hate you for everything youve done, and mom, I hate you for staying with the man that raped me when I was 12. your mom looks at your dad, and they start arguing, you put the phone back to your ear, and you can still hear Georgies heavy breathing, and him telling you it's going to be ok, even if you cant hear him. Your dad looks back into the backseat and when him, and your mom turn around to look at you, you scream as you see your dad head into the other lane of the highway, and hit a semi truck head on, you flung out the windshield even though you were in the back seat. Georgie hears what happened, and runs out of his room and to his parents room, because they were sleeping.

Georgie gets his parents keys, and tells them call 911, Y/n, was in a car wreck, I heard it, I can still hear her on the phone, I need one of you to stay there with the phone Y/ns on, and try to keep her calm, I know what way they take home, Im going to find them, they were going down 196 Highway, get an ambulance there fast.

George and Mary do as Georgie asked, Mary went to the phone in Georgie's room, and George called 911. Georgie finds where the car crash happened, and runs to find you. He finds your parents car, he sees your parents and siblings, all having their seatbelts on, but you are nowhere to be found, Georgie hears sirens and looks at someone on the road and says Hey, you, can you please flag down that ambulance, and get my friends siblings taken care of first, Im going to go look for my friend, she isn't in the car. the stranger looks at him and says Georgie, do you not remember me, it's me, Brenda Sparks, and yes, I will, go look for Y/n. Georgie smiles at her and mouths thank you. Brenda stays with your parents car, while Georgie goes to look for you, he finds you 15 miles down the road, near the ditch, he picks you up, and hears you groan in pain, he leans down and whispers in your ear it will all be ok soon, beautiful. Just as Georgie says that, you pass out in his arms, Georgie hears people calling his name, to help him, he yells back, I'm over here, my friend needs help! The paramedics get to you as soon as they get there, and you wake back up after passing out, as they are putting you in the ambulance and you say quietly Georgie, don't leave me. Georgie looks over at the paramedics and asks, can I go with her or not? the paramedics ask are you family, significant other, or just a friend he looks down and says just a friend, im going to assume that means I cant go with her. the paramedics say that is true, im sorry, you can follow us to the hospital if you would like. Georgie says Ill have to run home first, and tell my parents what happened, and then I'll be there, here's my home number, call me if you have any problems with anything. he comes over to you and says hey, beautiful, I'll be at the hospital soon to see you, I have to run home, and then ill be there. you make a sad noise, and try to grab his hand with your right hand, but it hurts to move it. Georgie watches as the ambulance that has you, and the ambulances that have your siblings and parents pull away. He goes back to his car and thanks Brenda for having them help the kids first, and drives home. He never thought of Y/n, while driving, but now your all he can think about, the song Better Together by Luke Combs comes on the radio, and all he can do is tear up, because it's your favorite song, he remembers driving you home one day, and this song came on, and you sang your heart out, even though you don't like to sing around people. Georgie starts singing, as tears fall down his eyes.
