YERI really had a passion for working on her cursed technique and with Jujitsu, and the speed of her improvement shocked Principle Yaga a little bit. She wasn't the strongest out of his students. That was no doubt Gojo, but he felt an immense amount of potential residing in her, which she was slowly unlocking.
He had never really seen a student be able to adapt and improve so fast, especially one who hadn't been brought up around Jujutsu really at all.
Principle Yaga would do his best to help Yeri improve.

"Ugh, who is it?" Yeri yawned, keeping her eyes closed and turning around on her bed.
"It's Suguru~"
She kept her eyes closed, nearly falling asleep again, "Come in."
Geto did as she said, and he was surprised to see she had made absolutely no effort to move out of her bed at all.
"What's uppp." She spoke sleepily, pulling the covers closer to her.
"Principle Yaga wants to see you. Like, preferably right now?"
At that news, she shot up, "Why??"
"No idea. Buttt, I'd get ready fast if I were you." She sighed, throwing a pillow at him and getting out of bed. "He's waiting. ." Geto spoke eerily as he closed the door and waited outside.
She wasn't scared of Principle Yaga....but she kind of was. She felt super tense around him, and she knew if anything bad were to happen, he'd probably be the bearer of bad news, he also wasn't afraid to scold and discipline them.
Getting into something casual, a hoodie and sweatpants she left for Yagas offlice slippers sliding on the ground.
Geto just raised an eyebrow at her simple outfit, "You not gonna change into your uniform?"
She froze, "What? What's the day?"
"Friday."
"Fuck!" She spoke, "I thought it was Saturday, ugh! Be back soon!"
Geto laughed, watching as she ran back to her dorm, slamming the door.
"What was all that about?" Gojo spoke, appearing out of suddenly nowhere.
"Nothing, really." He responded, "We should all go somewhere tonight. You've been too busy."
Gojo smirked, putting his hand on his chin in thought, "You're totally right! Hm, where~"
"No idea, but no sweets."
"Seriously?" Gojo huffed, deflating at that instance.
"I'm not dealing with your crazy sugar rush. Geto laughed, "It's like dealing with an 5 year old."
Swiftly, Yeri speedwalked past them, not saying a word and making her way to the Principles office.
"What is up with her?" Gojo spoke, smiling to let Geto know he was joking.
"Who knows what goes on in her mind."

Knocking on Yagas door, she came in when Yaga let her. Sitting down in front of him. He didn't seem too bothered she was late. He was working away on a doll anyway.
"Good morning, Yeri." He spoke, putting it aside and gesturing to a seat in front of him.
"I'm so sorry I'm late." She spoke apologising.
"It's fine. You're not regularly late like someone we know." Yaga hinted at Gojo, which made her laugh a little. Everyone knew his habit of being late. She was pretty sure Gojo wouldn't rush for anything.
"That's true." She smiled, waiting for Yaga to tell her what he had called her for.
"I called you here to bring you some news. There's good and bad. I'll start now. Firstly, I'm glad to tell you, with speaking to your peers, people you've accompanied, and on my personal opinion." He paused, continuing on. "You've been promoted to a grade 3 sorcerer."
It was easy to say that Yeri was very happy with this. It hadn't been long since she arrived here at all, and she had been able to improve so much.
"Thank you so much!"
"It's nothing." Yaga spoke, "However, you definitely would have been moving up higher if not for the Zenins."
"Huh?" Yeri was confused. What did he mean? She wasn't even involved with them anymore.
"I suspect the Zenins are paying people off for you not to be promoted any higher. Now, you didn't hear it from me, but you were going to be moved up even more. However, most of the people i had asked before refused to even recommend a higher grade or agree to it."
"Payed them off? Why - why would that?" Calming her feelings of anger, she composed herself in front of the principle. "I haven't seen or been involved with them for a long time."
"I don't know why, but I'll look into it."
"Thank you."

She did feel mad at the Zenins. Of course she did. It wasn't so much the fact her grade had been brought down. It was the fact that still, the clan was trying to control her.
They hadn't shown any interest in her in years, and certainly not when she was living there, so why were they so involved now?
It just made Yeri annoyed to even think about. She didn't understand why they couldn't just leave her alone.
She debated whether to tell Toji, as his reaction would be pretty unpredictable, and decided on not telling him the bad part, but only the good part .
But somehow, he already found it weird that she hadn't been moved up more.
"I'm sure on combat alone you should've been moved up more." Toji spoke over the phone. If he was a threat to Special Grade sorcerers, she should definitely be a threat to some 2st grade ones.
"Maybe they're just waiting for my cursed technique to develop more?" She spoke, listening carefully down the phone as she heard gunshots from the other side and some shouting. "Are you working right now?"
The man laughed casually, "Oh, how'd you know?"
"Yeah, I can hear someone fighting for their life in the background."
"Ah, it's ok. He's not a good person anyway, trust me."
"Whatever you say. Make sure to get back to Megumi soon and say safe."
"Right, will do. Talk to you soon."
"Byee!"
Hanging up, her mind wandered to Megumi. It must be so sad for him. At this age, he's basically looking after himself. Yeri felt so upset just thinking about it. He was like a brother to her, and she couldn't imagine him having to spend so much time alone.
"Yeri, there you are!" Shoko spoke, sitting down besides her. "What you doing here?"
"I was just catching up with someone. It feels like I haven't seen you in ages!"
Shoko laughed, "Me too! That's why you're coming out for food with me, Gojo, and Geto!"
"Everyone's free right now?" Yeri was suprised, it had been a while since they had all been together again. The two strongest Jujutsu sorcerers had been in high demand recently.
"Yes, and we all need to spend some time together. It's been a while."
"You're right, Shoko."
