I looked over to my shoulder to find an irritated Obanai running alongside me. Why am I being sent on a mission with him? My crow Atlas was nowhere to be and it slightly frustrated me.

I'm gonna have a long talk with that crow...

"Y/N snap out of your thoughts we're here," the other pillar told me. "Oh yea, uh where are we again?" It seemed like a regular village, but of course, the scent of a demon was lurking around my nose.

"This is a village Mitsuri-san and I go to," I saw him smile a bit. "Aw how cute~ already going by first names? Hehe~" I said teasingly.

"Don't make me get started on that emotionless boy you always rant to me about," he responded.

I put my hand on my mouth which was wide open from shock. He did not!

"HAHA HEY...IS THAT SOME MOCHI OVER THERE?" clearly embarrassed I walked over to the stand and he followed.  I swear I heard a sigh coming from him.

"What a lovely couple! what can I get for you," A look of horror appeared on our faces and we looked at each other. Aw hell no, this lady is crazy...well, that's what I wanted to say.

"Miss I'm sorry but he's like an older brother to me, and I'm like a younger sister, plus...I have someone else in mind." Y/N that last part wasn't necessary.

She was quick to apologize to us and gave us what we ordered, Sakura Mochi.

A/N: quick storytime~ I'm Asian and when I told someone I didn't like mochi they asked me 'aren't you Asian?' the look I had on my face. ANYWAY...

"Obanai-san~" he rolled his eyes and looked down at me. "What."

"Do you remember the day you finally warmed up to me?" I asked, he nodded, and said, "Shouldn't we be hunting down that demon."

"PSH THAT CAN WAIT, it's morning it won't be out yet." I laughed when I remember the time he finally saw me as a friend...He was the brother figure I wanted.

Flashback

"Oh my gosh, that damn Iguro-san! he wouldn't even let me help on that mission!" I currently was complaining to my crow about my recent mission.

"I'm only talking to you 'cause you're Kanroji-san's friend," I said imitating him. He's so annoying!! Even Muichiro is easier to talk to!! "Who does he think he is?!"

"You're superior is what I am," a cold tone spoke.

Please don't be behind me, please don't be behind me...I turned around and I saw him, glaring at me.

"I'm here because Kanroji-san said she hates seeing us fight, but now I'm starting to rethink that," he told me.

Y/N think...THINK, "Ah..I was talking about Giy-" I was cut off, "Don't lie to me."

Ah okay. I put my hand behind my neck and wanted to get away from this awkward moment. "What did you need me for again Iguro-san?" I asked

"Kanroji-san wants us to hang out, so I'm here," he said annoyedly. I wondered if we should stay here or go out somewhere. I continued to ponder and I guess his temper was increasing.

"Tomioka-chan, if you can't decide then I'm going to leave," before he walked out I stopped him.

"No you aren't going anywhere, let's just go to a town." He seemed annoyed but went along as I lead the way.

We approached a town that was really aged and dirty. "Wow, Tomioka-chan you really outdid yourself..." I tried to ignore his sarcasm and scoffed a little.
