"Why are we at a park?" I ask Vic as he waves happily at a toddler.
"I don't know, I'm just following instructions." Is his reply but I can see a smirk on his face and a glimmer in his eye.
He knows exactly why we're here.
A deep yelling echoes through the quiet park and my boyfriend pops out of a bush in front of us.
"What the fuck?" Vic and I speak simultaneously as Andy stops yelling and grins at us.
"Victor Robert Fuentes. You have done an excellent job escorting m'lady." Andy says, throwing his arm around my shoulder and kissing my cheek.
"My middle name isn't Robert." Vic says but Andy ignores him and continues talking.
"You may turn back now, or journey with us on our epic, um journey." I laugh at his excellent choice of words and Andy wiggles his eyebrows at me, a silly smirk painted on his lips.
Vic checks his watch, looks up at the sky, looks at me and then shrugs.
"I'll journey with you guys on your epic um journey."
Andy throws his arms up in the air and yells, "Huzzah!" He takes off running after this grand statement and Vic and I glance at each other before chasing after him.

"Hmm I wonder what could be in this large cage, currently covered by a black curtain in order to deliver us an air of mystery?" Andy taps his chin thoughtfully as he says this and I roll my eyes.
A man and a woman stand next to the table that holds the cage, the badges on their shirts informing me that they are San Diego Zoo Employees.
I stare at Andy.
"What's in the cage?" I ask and he gives me a bewildered look.
"Why are you asking me, like I would know? This is a complete surprise for me. I was just going for a run in a park and I stumbled across this." He shrugs nonchalantly and I almost believe his lie.
He's a good actor.
"Go ahead." Andy nods at the employees and the woman lifts the black curtain off the cage, revealing at brownish animal hanging from a stick that's been strategically placed in the cage just for this purpose.
A squeal escapes my lips and I hug Andy tightly.
"Oh my god it's so cute!" I stare at the sloth who looks back at me with big brown eyes.
"How did you even?" I ask Andy and he holds up a hand to me.
"I've got my ways."
The guy from the zoo tells my that the sloth's name is Zeus and he's their oldest male.
"I just love sloths so much." I say to them and Andy kisses my cheek.
"I'm glad you're enjoying Zeus's slothiness."
