{Socks PoV}Blaza eventually came up the stairs, with a pile of boxes in his arms, I ran up to him to help so he could actually see. I took some of the boxes off his arms and put them on he floor by the couch.
We both sat down and argued over who opened a gift first trying to get the other to go first, normally if we were kids, we would be bickering over who got to open theirs first. Weird how that changes..
"Fine, I'll go first." Blaza sighed, giving up.
"Hm.. open this one first!"
"Oh! Uh.. okay..!"
I think I may have made him a liiiiittle nervous because he looked at me awkwardly before unwrapping the gift I got him. Of course, I already knew what was inside it, but his eyes practically lit up when he pulled out what I had out in there.
It was a sweater similar to the bear one he wore all the time, but it had custom embroidery with little cat prints on the sleeves with a bear and a cat on the back. No I had not done it myself, it would look like a strangled goose had done it if I had.
...
After a while of having a good time and unwrapping gifts, we were both stuffing garbage into a bag and trying to tie it closed. It was now that I realized how nice Blaza was, I guess I really did lov- care- care about him. Yeah. That. (A/N denial)
I put the garbage in the garage next to the recycling and went back into the living room. The afternoon sun was close to setting, tomorrow would be an interesting day, after all, we had to go back to school.
At least it was only a few months until high school was finished, I pretty much already knew I wanted to be an idol or even a YouTuber, so college probably wasn't likely. I was never a really great student either way, so it didn't really matter to me.
I tried to avoid telling Blaza about it, but the next "meeting" was tomorrow. I didn't want to stress him out too much about that, so I hadn't told him. We both had a long day ahead of us, I didn't even know how I managed to find a school that would accept us this late in the year.
"Hmm.. I'm kind of tired..." Blaza mumbled from beside me.
"Got anything new?"
"..No..."
"Heh heh.. okay. Just go to sleep then."
"Nope. Not until you do!"
"I'm stuck on figuring out what is wrong with you."
"So am I, now what would you like to do?
"I don't know.." I mumbled, leaning on his shoulder, tired.
"How about we just stay like this, then?" Blaza said, putting an arm around my shoulder.
"O-Oh.. uhm.. o-okay.." I said, trying to cover my face.
{Blaza PoV}
Oh god, oh god.. I have his attention right now.. should I tell him..? Why is this so hard..!? Should I..? I don't want to lose him, though if he doesn't like me back.. god damn it.
"Hey Socks..? C-Could I.. tell you something..?" I said nervously, trying my best to keep some sort of confidence.. it was now or never, I guess..
"Eh? Of course!"
I took a small pause to think, but only one thought really stuck.
