Since that day, Theodore and Kennedy stopped talking. It made it hard for Ezbern to console both of them. He was just like a Therapy dog to them.

About a week after the ball, everyone was packing up their dorms getting ready to leave for home.

As Kennedy hung up the last shirt in her closet, there was a knock at the door and Tarsha opened it.

She saw nobody but a note on the floor.

She saw Kennedy's name written in big bold letters.

She handed it to Kennedy and she looked at it skeptically.

She ripped it open and found a letter which read:

To Kennedy Caddelle,

Meet me in the library tonight after everyone's asleep.

Alcott Jesse

She was surprised Alcott wanted to see her after what happened, although it probably was to say he didn't want to see her again.

After night fell and everyone was in bed, she crept out the room. It was pitch black but she'd learnt a few basic spells.

"Illuminate" She whispered and a small ball of light appeared in the palm of her hand.

She walked to the library and search around the corners if Alcott was there.

"Alcott?" She whispered.

"Kennedy..." She heard a soft voice behind her. She whipped her head around and saw him.

They stared at each other in silence for a moment.

"Late night reading?" Kennedy chuckled awkwardly.

"Yeah" Alcott chuckled waving the book in his hand.

"Listen..." He looked down walking a bit closer to her.

"I know I'm so sorry, I shouldn't of let him do that to you, he was just a bit jealous you asked me first." Kennedy felt so bad.

"Honestly I was more worried if he'd changed your mind about me..." Alcott let out a small huff.

"I would never..." Kennedy gulped.

"About the photo-" Alcott started. "I want to forget about that."

"What?" Kennedy was a bit confused.

"It was months ago and I don't want you to follow me around because I make you..." Alcott sighed.

"So what are you going to do?" Kennedy asked.

"I already got rid of it, I want to tell you how I really feel..." Alcott walked even closer taking her hand.

Kennedy blushed looking into his eyes.

She let her lips touch his as they shared a passionate kiss.

Alcott pulled her closer by the waist leaving no gap between them.

They both pulled away panting lightly.

Kennedy's eyes fell onto Alcott's lips.

"I'm sorry..." She apologized gently caressing his wounded lip.

"It's all good." Alcott took her hand off his face squeezing it. "It doesn't hurt a bit when I'm with you" He smiled and she did too. "I got this for you by the way." He pulled out a pretty gold necklace from his pocket.

Kennedy stared it mesmerised.

Alcott put it around her neck.
