Chapter 25: Mystery Girl

For the next week. The three stayed with Harriet.

They tried their best trying to locate Jaynie's aunt but there was no clue where she went.

And Harriet and Theo had gotten extremely close. Always giggling together.

Until one day Theo came to the other two with shocking news.

Harriet had to drop by the town to get some groceries when Theo saw Ezbern and Kennedy discussing something on the dining table.

"Hey guys I need to tell you something." He swallowed feeling nervous.

"Sure go ahead Theo." Ezbern gestured.

"So you see..." He started. "Me and Harriet like each other... a lot."

"You guys only met a week ago." Kennedy furrowed her eyebrows.

"Yeah and in that time we got along. I've never connected with someone like that." Theo explained. "She's smart. She likes books like me."

"Theo I'm not stopping you but you know we can't be with her forever..." Ezbern reminded him.

"Why can't we take her with us?" Theo shrugged.

"Theo it's too dangerous. We don't know what that woman is capable of and and we can't risk Harriet's life. If you loved her you would consider that." Kennedy sighed.

Theo looked down feeling heartbroken and walked upstairs.

Ezbern and Kennedy glanced at each other.

Just then Harriet came running back.

"Guys guys guys!" She looked very excited.

"What?" Kennedy calmed her down.

"I think I know where that woman is." Harriet smiled.

"Where?" Ezbern asked.

"So I had a look into Jaynie's memory. I created another device which could take a picture of the past. I went to the memory which Kennedy saw and took a picture of the woman." Harriet scrambled open a paper which showed the woman.

"I showed it to some of the towns people and one man said she came by not too long ago asking about a crown!" Harriet made the story more exciting by the second.

"She dropped a map as she left and it marks a few places. Including the Academy." Harriet opened a piece of parchment paper.

Ezbern and Kennedy crowed around it.

"She crossed out all the these places and because the town is here I'm guessing she started from here." Harriet pointed to the end of the map which had 'Hillroy' written and it hadn't been crossed out.
