Have you ever experienced grief what is it like?

Grief is a darkness that covers the soul,
A weight that consumes and takes its toll.
It drags you down into a deep despair,
A suffocating shadow that's always there.

It comes in waves of unending pain,
A never-ending emotional strain.
You try to move on, to soldier through,
But the memories linger, and the tears ensue.

From the loss of a loved one to a shattered dream,
Grief takes many forms, or so it would seem.
It's an ache that can't be pacified,
A reminder of what's been unjustly denied.

But slowly, with time, the pain may ebb,
And the weight of grief may begin to shed.
You learn to live with the hole in your heart,
To hold onto memories and honor their part.

Grief is a journey, a path that's uniquely yours,
And while it may never fully close the doors,
You can find comfort in the love that surrounds,
And in the hope that, one day, peace will be found.
