"So how was it?" My mum asks with a cup of tea in her hand, sipping on it slowly.

I send her a questionable look.

"Oh come on, I know you didn't just go to the pet store, you went somewhere else with her, didn't you?"

I nod as I put the bags down and Athena's bed.

She runs to my dad with her leash still on so he can unclip it.

Today was a good day. Yesterday I thought I was just going to be the weird kid with no friends at my new school.

But, now? Now I have three new friends and one of them is my next-door neighbour.

When I saw her today in her skimpy little shorts and sports bra, her belly bar was on show and, I swear something changed in me. I was hot and I couldn't stop staring.

But then she came down in a tight black dress and oh my god.

I have never seen anything like it.

Her nipple bar pushed against the fabric. Perky breasts peeping at the neckline. Her figure was on full show.

I think I hid my feelings about it because she never said anything.

"We went to the diner, where we went yesterday, and I met two of her other friends, they were really nice,"

"That's great, did you ask what school they go to, like I asked? "

"They go to Carrington private school,"

"is that the one you're going to?" My dad asks as I pat the new sofa for Athena to jump up.

I hum before walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass, I weave in and out of the unpacked boxes before getting to the sink and filling up the glass with water.

I still need to unpack the boxes in my room.

When I asked Olyimpia where the nearest pet shop was, I knew where it was. I lied. I searched Google Maps but my mum forced me to knock on her door because apparently socialising is the next best thing.

It's about 5:42 now. I think Olyimpia said dinner was at 6:30; so I better go and get a shower.

I didn't realise we were out for that long until I checked my phone about 20 minutes ago and realised we had to leave.

The Roscoe guy was really kind and kept making jokes.

I finish my water and walk back into the living room to collect my phone.

"I'm going to go in the shower," I say as I leave the room.

My phone pings with a notification.

I sit on the edge of my bed before looking at the nonfiction.

I open up messages to see what is happening.
