After dinner we went to the mall. Kaelyn bought two pairs of shoes, black flats and grey Converse, a few graphic tees, and 3 pairs of skinny jeans. I bought a new set of color pencils, a set of wheels for my skateboard, and a new SnapBack with flowers on it. In total I spent 210.46 dollars so, not a lot. We got home around 10:30 and I was really tired.
"I'm going to bed." Kaelyn said bringing her shopping bags up the stairs.
"Me too." I followed her and went to my room. I took off my clothes and put on a long t-shirt. I cuddled up with Rose who was already in my bed, asleep, and I dozed off. It was about 1:30 when I heard screaming from Kaelyn's room. I grabbed the gun that I keep in my nightstand and bolted to her room. Kaelyn was in a ball, crying on her bed.
"What's wrong?!" I lowered the gun and walked over to her.
"I had a dream. About Jasper. H-He killed..." She trailed off sobbing as she talked.
"Who?" I sat down and held her, my arms around her neck while she wrapped her legs around my waist. Kaelyn didn't respond she shakily lifted her finger and pushed it on my chest. "Me?" She nodded. "Aw Kae, you care about me?" She nodded again. "Well try to get some sleep." I tried to stand up but Kaelyn kept me held down.
"Can I come with you?" She looked up at me with puppy dog eyes and I couldn't say no. I carried her to my room and set her down. Rose purred and laid right in between us. Kaelyn pet her on the head and I put the gun away. I laid down with Kaelyn.
"Night Kae." I whispered to her. She nuzzled into me and the cat ran away. She quietly giggled and I smiled. We fell asleep in each other's arm.
The next morning I woke with out her in my arms.
"Ugh." I groaned and looked over at the clock, 10:57. I quickly got out of bed and trudged down stairs. To my surprise Kaleyn had made me breakfast.
"Pancakes okay?" She asked flipping one from the stove.
"Y-Yeah, uh- thanks for doing this." I stammered as I sat down at the small counter. Kaelyn finished the pancake she was making and set plateful on the counter top. She grabbed plates, forks, two glasses, orange juice, butter, and syrup, to put on the table. Kaelyn gave me a plate with a few pancakes and glass filled with orange juice.
"Well, I normally wake up this early so Jasper has his breakfast ready." She sighed and pulled out the bar stool next to me and took a seat.
"Thank you. You should also know I normally don't eat breakfast on work days so it's okay if you don't want to cook." I took a bite of my pancakes. "But you are very welcome to." I smiled and she giggled.
"It's okay. I love cooking but Jasper only let me cook what he wanted so it's nice to cook for you." She smiled and started eating. After we finished our food, we cleaned up the mess in the kitchen, changed clothes, went to the living room to relax.
"You know what, I'm not busy tonight so I think I'll call that waitress." Kaelyn sat down on the couch with me.
"Okay." She said.

Kaelyn's POV
"Okay" I said. I was crushed. I was falling in love with Riley and now she was going out with a random waitress! I had to say something.
"Hey Ri-" I stopped. I couldn't tell her I loved her. She might kick me out or worse, become like Jasper.
"Yeah Kae?" Riley said texting, who I assumed, was Emma.
"N-Nothing." I stammered turned away to face the tv. I felt my face heat up. 'Why do I always embarrass my self?!' I thought.
"You don't always embarrass yourself Kae. If you have something to tell me, tell me." After that I realized I had said that out loud.
"Oh I didn't mean to say that out loud. I'm fine." I brought my knees up to my chin and wrapped my arms around my legs. I buried my face in my thighs and let out a long groan. I felt Riley nudge me. She was watching me and giggling. I sat normally once again and stared at Riley. Her hair, which was blond bob, looked so soft and flawless. Her eyes were a soft pastel blue, almost like ice.
"Hey Kae?" Riley's said while I continued to stare.
"Hmm?" I hummed loudly.
"Why are you staring at me?" Riley said giggling. "Like what you see?" She took off her grey beanie she was wearing and put in on over my eyes.
"Oh, I was uh- watching you text that waitress! Yeah, is it going good?" I said lifting the beanie from my eyes.
"Yeah, we're going out to dinner so, you can order take-out for dinner. There's plenty of menus on the fridge." Riley shrugged and looked over to me. "I might be late coming home." She laughed and nudged me. I laughed but it wasn't a real laugh. 'Wow, first full day with her and I can't even have dinner with her.' I sighed and continued watching the cartoon that was on tv. Riley seemed very invested in the cartoon so I didn't interrupt her but, after it ended, I decided to talk to her.
"Hey Riley, I could uh- make dinner for myself if that's okay." I said to Riley as she stretched on the couch.
"That's fine. I have a lot of stuff I rarely use so you should be good." Riley started going up the stairs I assume to get ready. Soon, she came back out in a white blouse, black skinny jeans, black flats, and a black SnapBack.
"You look nice." I said as she walked down the stairs.
"Thanks, anyway, I'll be back later." Riley opened the door and grabbed her wallet. "Bye." The door slammed.
'I missed my chance."
