"Oh good, little witchy wolf's awake" Peter's annoying voice said.
"Hope! You're up, we were starting to worry" Stiles told her, ignoring Peter.
"Was that just a dream or did it really happen?" Hope asked, carefully. "It really did happen," Scott answered slowly. "And look, Hope, I'm really sorry, I had no idea" he began. "It's fine, you couldn't have known. But you shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions" Hope replied. "I know, I'm really sorry." Hope gave the boy a small smile, as she saw how bad he really felt.
"Now, Wolfy, we have some questions for you," Peter said. "Seriously Peter, I don't think now's the time for questions." Stiles said angrily. "It's okay, Stiles," Hope said. "No it's not, he shouldn't have done that" "I know, but he did, and we can't change that"
"So, let's start with the first few memories. Who were those people? that man and the girl?" Peter asked. Stiles, Lydia and Allison already knew that the girl was Hope, because it was the same girl from Hope's memory at the motel. "It was me and my dad," Hope answered simply. "How old were you?" Isaac asked. "Seven" she replied.
"So I now know for sure that you are a witch, but what's with that bracelet? You also had it on you when you were seven" Peter said. "Ever since I was born, there have been these people who wanted to kill me because of who my family was. So when I was a baby my uncle Kol and aunt Davina made this bracelet from magical manacles that were supposed to keep a witch from doing magic. And since I was a baby I couldn't control the magic coming from me so to keep me safe I wore the bracelet so I couldn't do magic and no one could trace it."
"And that blue thing? Was that the Hollow?" Allison asked. "Yes."
"Wait, what's the Hollow and how do you know about it?" Derek asked Allison. "At that motel we were at, the wolfsbane affected me too, just differently. Something happened and when I was with Allison, Stiles and Lydia I accidentally somehow showed them my memories about the Hollow" Hope answered.
"Yeah, but those memories weren't whole, just bit's and pieces," Lydia added. "Can you explain to us who don't know what the hollow is?" Peter asked, annoyed.
"There once was this ancient spirit called the Hollow, who possessed me when I was seven because it wanted my power. My family was able to get most of it out by taking it into themselves. That's the memory you saw. So my father, uncles and aunt took it into themselves, and in doing so they could never come near each other or me again. So for eight years I lived alone with my mother and aunt Freya. Until finally my dad came back, but the dark magic in me started to grow and was consuming me, and I knew I would die, everybody knew. The dark magic was the part of the Hollow that was still in me, and the magic inside just wanted to explode. So when I killed those people I was letting it out on the people conspiring against my family." Hope explained.
"What I don't understand is what you meant when you talked to your dad, about the voices, and he said that you rejected the bracelet. And what did he mean when he said you were throwing Elijah around?" Scott asked, looking a bit concerned. "And when the Hollow went into those four people one of them said that she could hear it, the whispers" Isaac added.
"First of all, that memory happened right after my mom died. And at first I blamed my uncle Elijah. Don't ask, just know that I had a reason to. I was angry at him so I kind of used my magic to hurt him. The thing is that a bit of the Hollow was still in me and with Elijah and my dad being there it only grew and got worse. I heard voices, whispers, in my head. The bracelet didn't work. It only burned me" Hope informed the group.
Everyone was quiet for a while until Lydia spoke up very quietly. "The memory when you were in the car with that man, you were talking about taking the power back. Did you take the Hollow back inside you?" she asked. Hope needed and Lydia continued. "Why would you do that, why would you take it back when you knew you could die?" "I did it because my mom was dead, and my family couldn't be near me or each other, so it was a change I was willing to take to get my family back together." What she didn't explain was her family's vow, Always and forever. That she had been the end of that vow. And that she couldn't be the reason her family was separated and unhappy.
"What did you do to those jocks?" Peter asked, a grin appearing on his face. "I didn't do anything to them, I destroyed Conners car," Hope answered, knowing what they were about to ask next.
"What happened to you? In the end of the memory?" Stiles asked, worriedly. "I died," Hope said plainly. "How could you have died? You're here" Derek said, confused. "I came back to life. It's hard to explain"
"Sooo, you kidnapped your mom huh?" Peter said, his grin only growing. "I was fifteen, and I missed my dad. He stopped calling and writing letters when I was nine." Hope stopped for a moment and thought about what she had seen her father do. "It was the only thing I could think of to get him to New Orleans. But then a vampire named Roman got inside my head, literally, without me knowing, and found her location."
"And that's how she died," Peter said. "But how was that your uncle's fault?" Scott asked. "My dad could have saved her, but he stopped him. He had no memories about her, himself or the rest of my family due to a very powerful spell, but he knew who she was, he knew who he was, and he knew that she was a mother. But still he stopped my dad, and she died."
Now Hope was desperately trying to hold back her tears. "I'm sorry," Stiles said, in a very low voice. Hope took a deep breath and smiled a small, half forced smile at the boy.
"Who's Landon?" Lydia asked in a testing voice, trying to lighten the mood. "He's... no one," Hope chuckled. "Okay. Fine" Lydia said, not believing her.
The front door opened and Noah walked inside. "What the hell is going on here?" He asked, looking at all the people in his living room. If it were only the teens (not Derek and Peter) he would be less worried but seeing the two adult men there, that he didn't know, brought up some questions.
"Wait, Derek?" Noah asked. "How does he know Derek?" Hope whispered, so only thoughts with supernatural hearing could hear. "Scott and Stiles got me arrested two years ago" Derek answered in the same low tone. Hope was suppressed and wanted to ask more but stopped when she heard Noah say, with his voice raised a bit. "Every one you, now."
Everyone stood up and walked toward the door except Hope. "Not you" Noah said, when Stiles passed him. "Okay, look, the recital at your school is starting. I'm gonna go. You two will stay here, and neither of you will go out, no matter what" Noah said. "But what if there's a fire? Could we go out then or are we just supposed to burn to death?" Stiles asked the stupidest question ever.
"Stiles," his father warned him. "I'm just asking," Stiles said, defending himself. Noah was about to say something when he figured that it was better to just give up. "Hope, make sure he behaves"
"Will do" she answered.
Noah went out leaving the two teens home alone.
"You wanna play sushi go?" Stiles asked and pointed at the game that was sitting on top of some books in a bookshelf. "Yeah sure, but you'll have to teach it to me" Hope answered.
