On a cold mid-winter evening, Angela watched as war broke out without knowing the whole truth.  That truth was that this war was between elves against humans. A day that would change her life . She stood frozen in fear as she watched countless friends and family fall under the swords of those who opposed them, afraid she’d be next to go. She ran but had sworn to take her revenge, even at the cost of her own life. As she looked through the thick bushes she hid behind at the elves she noticed the royal family was now missing, she knew they had ordered the war. The queen watched as her husband was having an affair with a human girl. The queen ordered her head to be chopped off, and not even seconds after she had started planning an attack on those whom she felt betrayed her. The human race.

Within days, the elves ran across yards and roads to take the life of an enemy without caring who was innocent and who was truly cruel in this world. In a blind fit of rage, no one was safe from the queen's wraith. She was sure to make others suffer the way she did for many years. The cruelty of her husband's affair and the cruelty she had to show her own kind because she thought humans would have killed all the elves without mercy.

Humans were the target of the queens' unwavering anger, which unleashed such a horrific scene ,the blood of hundreds bleeding onto the ground. Humans who didn’t have a clue of why or who was attacking. The elves unleashed years of pain and torture unto the humans who they thought was the reason behind it. Humans were the reason they were forced to go through pain to never talking about themselves and their true nature. But let's go to the beginning of the war again, though, relive the memories.

About a week ago, they started noticing small attacks around the city, and signs of rebels, little did they know it was the start of a war and there was no sign of it stopping anytime soon. Angela left for home to start planning her revenge on the royal family. After three days of planning, Angela finally found the perfect plan for revenge, but then she realized putting it into motion would be harder than she thought since the war was raging hardcore not even 10 minutes away from her door. She knew they would recognize that she was not an elf, so she couldn’t try to disguise herself. She couldn’t think of any other way to get within the castle other than to try to sneak in. She knew the guards would be in defense mode looking for anyone who doesn’t belong. It would be harder to get in than normal, but she knew she had to do it.

Furthermore, she would wait a while before going, so she hoped, castle would be less guarded due to the war. She planned it for at least a week from now, mapped it out on her map, and then practiced the trails she would take to get in and out of the castle, so she would be quick. For close to a week, she was taking hours a day to practice your plan, all the while someone has been watching from the shadows. Angela had little knowledge of the man watching her. She thought she was alone, but the young elf prince was watching her from afar, careful not to let her know he was there, making sure to pay attention to each detail.

He watched in awe as the soft heart girl he knew from class grew colder with each runthrough. He understood the pain and suffering she was going through but couldn’t understand why she had him as a target he never hurt her. He never betrayed her the way his father betrayed his mother. Unless she has not yet figured out who he was. He longed to tell her the truth but feared he would cause more pain.

The day of her attack, she had gone to the halfway point between her house and the castle to gather her gear. The prince stood less than 10 feet from the house watching her. He was tempted to giggle, but he stayed quiet to not alert her. Angela had stayed until it was dark, and the prince had gone home to wait for her in his room. He then realized she would have no way to know which room was who’s as she had never entered the castle. The prince couldn’t have known she had her hands on a cot of the castle blueprints with the names of each room. She was confident that she’d be able to get in and out within 10 mins, but that would go wrong.

That plan would fail in ways nobody could have foreseen. An unplanned future during an unplanned war with an unplanned meeting of two people in love.
