Luna Lovegood explored the Hogwarts grounds. Even though she's been there for years, calling it home, it always fascinates her. Like where her shoes went missing, and she found them in the Forbidden Forest.
She sat down on the edge of the Black Lake, gazing at the calm waters. The sun was setting already, and the beads of sweat in her neck glistened. She loved the setting sun. It seemed to reflect off the water, and it amazed her.
You joined the dreamy girl, sitting down next to her. Luna stared at you, seemingly interested in you. She looked back at the waters, your picture stuck in her mind. She suddenly spoke.
"Do you ever wonder if water can remember things?" She asked, staring down with a small smile. You answered, "Not really, but maybe it can."
"Water is interesting like that." Luna nodded, closing her eyes as she listened to the peaceful sounds.
Silence filled the air before she spoke again. "What's your name? I'm Luna Lovegood." Luna offered you a hand for a handshake.
"I'm Y/n L/n." You responded, shaking her hand, and she hummed softly.
"Nice to meet you, Y/n." She told you, smiling.
"Nice to meet you too."

It's been some time since you've met Luna Lovegood at the Black Lake. You were already in your 6th year, while she was in her 5th."Hello." An airy voice from behind you speaks.
"Hello, Luna." You turn to the blond-haired girl. "Are you ready for the picnic?" You ask her, and she nods, lifting up a basket full of food.
You both planned a picnic at the spot you first met. It was like a date. But for friends.
You both walked to the lake, and you laid out a picnic blanket on the floor, so you both could sit down.
She opened the basket, and pulled out foods. Like sandwiches and other things. She also included pumpkin juice and water.
Luna happily fed you a strawberry, giggling. You smiled at her actions.
Once you finished your food and sipped your pumpkin juice, she opened her mouth to speak, but she closed it afterwards, trying to find words. You eyed her confusedly, but shrugged it off. You did notice the blush of embarrassment on her face, though.
"Anything wrong, Luna?" You asked her. She shook her head, smiling.
—
The war was currently happening. Voldemort has finally appeared, demanding for Harry Potter. You needed to help."I love you, Y/n." She blurted out suddenly to you. You froze on your steps, and turned to her.
"I.. I love you too, Luna." You smiled sadly, and approached her. She embraced you, kissing you on the lips softly. She seemed very worried about you. Once you pulled away from the kiss, she seemed to be staying in your arms.
"Luna.. we have to go." You spoke softly to her. She nodded, and let go of you. She gave you one last kiss, more longer than the first one.
"I'll love you forever, Y/n. I hope we'll see each other again." Luna whispered to you.
"Stay safe, Luna. Just for me, please." You whispered back to her, tears welling up in your eyes. She held a sad smile, and you both split up, worried for what was about to happen to the other.
(Quite short, I know.)
