"My name is Y/n. And I am Brooklyn's one and only Orb weaver, or better known as a spider-man."

Y/n sprung to life from under the covers of her bed. She stood immediately, stretching and yawning. Then she began walking around her bedroom, saying good morning and early affirmations to each and every one of her plants, as she did every morning. Her mother taught her long ago that love was one of the most important things you could give a plant. In doing so, she noticed one of her green leaves was beginning to out-grow its pot.

"Oh poor baby." She hummed, caressing its leaves.

Y/n rushed to the bathroom, snatching the bonnet off her head and beginning to brush her teeth.

She took a shower, did her hair, and carefully pulled her suit over her body.

"This thing really should have more zippers." She mumbled, trying to squeeze her butt into the suit.

"Im 20 years old, and I've lived in Brooklyn all my life."

Y/n's swings through the city were care free. She circled a couple highways, and took some dips off a couple buildings. New York was loud, just as it had been all her life. And as she swung she waved at passersby's, people stuck in traffic or walking the street who happened to have seen her in thw air.

"GOOD MORNING." She yelled to kid holding a Orb Weaver plushie. The little girl smiled, waving back enthusiastically.

"And Being a spider-man is hard. Maybe not for other people, but it is for me."

Y/n spotted a man runing with his hands full from a store below. She rolled her eyes, swooping down quickly and webbing the man's ankles together. The police men chasing after the man looked up in confusion, then smiled once they caught glimpse of her.

She flashed a thumbs up before being on her way.

"You fight bad guys,"

Then finally she swooped down to the ground, the feet of her suit touching the concrete as she landed before of a storefront.

'Evelelyn's Blooms', her deceased mother's flower shop. She looked at the Orb weaver ad poster with her face on it that hung in the window, before going in.

"You do promotions,"

The place was crowded with greenery, beautiful flourishing greenery. Flowers, bushes, cacti, succulents, anything one could imagine was there.

Y/n walked down the flower pot isle, carefully picking out a ceramic pot for her plant. Then she carried it to the counter.

"Morning Orb!" The cashire, Miranda smiled.

"Morning Miranda. Hows the shop going?" Y/n asked.

"Just as well as always."She smiled.
"This ones on the house."

"Everything I get is on the house, please let me pay for this!" Y/n whined.

"Nope." Miranda smiled, pushing the pot into her arms.
"You've brought so much money to this place, I coundnt possibly. I dont know why you care for this little spot so much, but I'm very thankful."

Y/n smiled and shook her head.
"I feel better as a crime fighter knowing this place exists."

"You do whatever the people need you to do."

Y/n grabed the pot, turning towards the door and getting ready to take her leave.
"Thank you."

"Good luck out there Orb."

Y/n made haste taking the pot back home, and once she got there, she placed it on her counter, having more important things to do than repot the plant at the moment.

"But thats not the hard part."

Y/n looked down, fiddling with her watch until the room began to glitch. She breathed in as the portal began to materialize, carefully dusting off her suit before walking in.

The Headquarters was just as its always been, a bustling 3d space full of spider-men just like and unlike her.

Y/n ran down the lobby pathway, then past the resources department and past the food court. She rounded the corner of the meeting rooms on the far wing, walking down the long hall.

Then he came into view, Hobie. He was just as he had grown to be in the past years, even taller, dark skinned, with dark hair that fell into short wicks. His face was older, even more angular, now with piercings on his eyebrows, his nose, his lip, and his ears.

Y/n stood behind the window of the room, watching Hobie mindlessly play his guitar.

"The hard part is pretending you're completely fulfilled with just being Orb weaver."

Y/n knocked on the door before opening it and pulling her mask down.
"Hobes." She smiled.

"Y/n!" Hobie looked up from his guitar with a smile.

"The hard part is looking at him everyday."

"Wanna go get something to eat? I heard the cafeteria has philly cheesesteak today." She said, sitting down beside him.

"Sounds bout' right to me, lets go." Hobie stood up, holding his guitar in one hand and using the other to fling her effortlessly over his shoulder. Y/n giggled, playfully thrashing in his arms as he carried her out the room.

"Hobie put me down!"

"I cant, yknow my day get brighter when I have you with me."He chuckled.

"The hard part is realizing that you'd give up your whole life as a Spiderman just for him, but thats not an option."
