The thunder rumbled outside as the three boys and I stared at the shivering girl who was wrapped in Mikes jacket.

"Is there a number we can call for your parents?" Mike asked but the girl never responded.

"Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?" Dustin widened his eyes and I nudged him slightly.

"Did you run away?" Lucas inquired.

"Are you in some kind of trouble?" I questioned.

"Is that blood?" Lucas asked bringing his hand closer but Mike smacked it.

"Stop it! You're freaking her out!" Mike yelled.

"She's freaking me out!" Lucas retorted.

"I bet she's deaf." Dustin clapped his hands in her face causing her to jump "Not deaf."

"All right, that's enough, all right? She's just scared and cold." Mike went over to his hamper to grab her clean clothes.

"Here, these are clean. Okay?" Mike handed the girl the clothes and she took them hesitantly.

The girl then got up and tried to take her shirt off and the boys all turned away yelling and shouting but I stood there confused.

"See over there? That's the bathroom. Privacy. Get it?" Mike pointed over to the bathroom.

The girl then walked over to the bathroom to change Lucas, Dustin, and I stayed put. Mike then comes back to the group.

"This is mental." Dustin stated.

"At least she can talk." Mike shrugged.

"She said 'no' and 'yes.' Your three-year-old sister says more." Lucas commented.

"She tried to get naked." Dustin reminded.

"Your guys are so dramatic." I rolled my eyes.

"Easy for you to say! Your a girl." Lucas retorted.

"Dude I've seen my 17 year old brother naked it's not that bad." I scoffed and got chills at the memory of the time I walked in on my brother changing.

"There's something seriously wrong with her. Like, wrong in the head." Lucas continued.

"She just went like..." Dustin threw his hands up knocking off his hat.

"I bet she escaped from Pennhurst." Lucas said.

"From where?" Mike glared at Lucas.

"The nuthouse in Kerley County." Lucas replied.

"You got a lot of family there?" Dustin grinned.

"Bite me." Lucas threatened "Seriously though, think about it. That would explain her shaved hair and why she's so crazy."

"Why she went like..." Dustin did the same example again.

"She's an escape is the point." Lucas said.

"You guys don't know that maybe she was abused." I shrugged trying to come to the girl's defense.

"Come on Taylor look at her." Lucas eyed me and I sighed.

"I don't know. But we barley know her." I added.

"She's probably a psycho." Lucas retaliated.

"Like Michael Myers." Dustin widened his eyes.

"Exactly!" Lucas shouted "We should've never brought her here."

"So you just wanted to leave her out in that storm?" Mike asked us.

"Yes! We went out to find Will, not another problem."  Lucas mentioned.

"I think we should tell your mom." Dustin suggested.

"I second that." Lucas said.

"I third that." I finally joined in with them.

"Who's crazy now?" Mike argued.

"How is that crazy?" Lucas furrowed his eyebrows.

"'Cause, we weren't supposed to be out tonight, remember?" Mike reminded him.

"So?"

"So if I tell my mom and she tells your mom and your mom and your mom..." Mike looked at all of us.

"My moms on a business trip and doesn't know about any of this so sucks for you guys." I shrugged having the easy way out.

"But for us our houses become Alcatraz." Lucas reasoned.

"Exactly. We'll never find Will." Mike said "All right, here's the pan. She sleeps here tonight."

"You're letting a girl-"

"Just listen!" Mike cuts off Dustin "In the morning, she sneaks around my house, goes to the front door and rings the doorbell. My mom will answer and know exactly what to do. She'll send her back to Pennhurst or wherever she comes from. We'll be totally in the clear. And tomorrow night, we go back out. And this time, we find Will."

Lucas, Dustin, and I gathered our stuff and we're about to leave while Mike got the girl comfortable.

"You really think she's psycho?" Dustin asked Lucas.

"Wouldn't want her in my house." Lucas replied and the three continued up the stairs.

I returned home and placed my bike in the garage and saw that the house was completely empty. Gosh, Steve was probably out somewhere with Nancy Wheeler again. As I locked the door and slipped off my shoes then went upstairs and got dressed. I then decided to read a bit then hit the hay because I knew that this adventure wasn't over yet and we had to find Will and get rid of that girl. But how? And was Mike actually gonna go through with the plan? Who knows...
