Chapter One (Making New Friends)

I'm Laila Mendes and this is my first day at a new school...
So here I was at my new school! Year 8 (7th grade) wasn't going to be easy! I had to move from my last school because of my bully. His name was Charlie. He wouldn't leave me alone but Shawn told our mum everything so I could move. (Yes my brother is the one and only Shawn Mendes!) My form was full of loud kids. I walked through the doors slowly hoping someone would see me and tell me come in.

The classroom fell silent and all eyes were on me. Sir told me to sit don't next to someone called Will. He was kind and talked to me so it wasn't so awkward.

When the bell rang for first period a girl called Amy said she would walk round with me for the day. We ended up being really good friends!
*Wow! Go me! My first friend!!!* I thought to myself.

The day had past and by the end of the day I was part of a girl group with Amy, Penny, Perry, Beth and I.

After I got home mum and I stared to plan Shawn's party as he was at a friends house, Nash. I loved Nash! He was like another close brother to me. And so was Matt, another one of Shawn's friends. Shawn, Nash and Matt always looked out for me. They wouldn't let me date anyone who they thought were acting weird. They would always be there for me. And now I'm in the same school as them I don't have to worry about being bullied. I feel safe with Shawn, Nash and Matt.

We only had one week! But we only had to buy everything now. So we were going to do that tomorrow night as Shawn's sleeping at Nash's place.

The next day at school I was excited to go shopping for Shawn's party things. When Amy walked over she saw I was exited. "Why are you so happy?"
"I'm buying Shawn's party things today!" I said closing my locker.
"Well I don't have any plans today... Can I come and maybe find out who this brother of yours is?" Amy said looking down to the ground.
"Sure why not."
"YAY! Iran cool...." We both just laughed.

Our next period was science. I walked in and Sir say me down next to a boy called Hayes. I swear I've seen him before... OH YEAH! We used to be like best friends! I don't know what happened to us. I guess he just wanted 'cooler' friends... Like I'm not cool! Whatever! But we both knew who each other was and we didn't talk at all! 😳

Meh: Okay I guess... Why???
Amy🙊: Don't you sit next to Hayes?
Penny✌🏼️: YOU SIT NEXT TO HAYES?!
Meh: Yeah Why is it such a big deal?😳
Perry👑: Because Hayes is like the hottest guy in the school!
Beth🐠: Plus Penny has a huge crush on Hayes! Oops! #SorryNotSorry
Penny✌🏼️: BETH! But omg yeah! 😍
Meh: Really? I used to be best friends with Hayes✌🏼
Penny✌🏼️: Dying....! 😵
Amy🙊: Sorry Penny but I like Laila and Hayes together...🙈💕
Meh: Anyways.... Ima go to bed I've got a small science test tomorrow. Night love ya'll! 💕👑
Penny✌🏼️: Amy! 😩 And night my lil Laila boos!😘
