"Nick where did you put my essay for Science? I told you that you could look at it, I didn't mean keep it." I say walking up to nick.

"Uhhh" he says thinking. I see his eyebrows furrow in confusion. "I don't remember. It's probably around here somewhere." He says starting to walk off.

My jaw opened with surprise. "What do you mean you don't know? Nick that's due tomorrow and it's worth 20% of my grade for the class!" I state loudly.

"Don't worry. Like I said it's probably around here somewhe- oh shit" he says suddenly. "Nick. What do you mean oh shit. Where's my essay?"

"Uhh I kinda took it to Madi's house to show her, then I also brought it to the warehouse. So uhh it might possibly be at one of those places." Nick says his voice getting quieter and quieter.

"Nick! You're joking right?! Please tell me your joking. It's midnight and Matt is already asleep how are we gonna get my essay!" I yell.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Nick says apologizing. "Yeah nick, you never mean to do anything yet you still do! You do stupid shit like this all the time!" I yell throwing my arms up in anger.

The second I throw my arms up I see Nick flinch away. He squeezes his eyes shut and tries to protect himself with his arms. Did I really scare him like that?

"Did-did you think I was gonna hit you?" I ask, sorrow filling my voice. "no" Nick says looking away, embarrassed almost. "Yes you did! You flinched away" I respond. "Fine. Yeah I kinda did. You just looked really mad and I thought you we're gonna hit me." nick says.

"I'm sorry Nick. I didn't mean to scare you. You know I'd never hit you in any way that isn't just joking. Even though I do that quite often" I say laughing. "No but seriously sorry. I didn't mean to get that mad at you. Can you just try to remember where you put my essay?" I say apologizing.

"No it's alright. And yeah I'll try" nick says while thinking. I can see his head going through all the events of the day when his face lights up. "Oh I know! It's at the warehouse on the table!" Nick shouts.

"Ugh, ok at least it's not at Madi's. But now the hard part." Nick looks at me confused. "We have to get Matt to drive us there." I say. I see nick sigh in disappointment. "That's gonna be rough" nick replies.

Matt isn't the easiest person to wake up. If you disturb his sleep he's usually pretty grumpy. "You're doing it tho. You left it there, you wake up Matt." I state. Nick sighs again. "That's fair."

We walk into Matt's room where he's peacefully sleeping, and nick walks up to his bed. He gently shakes his shoulder to wake him. Matt stirs a bit, but doesn't even open his eyes. Nick shakes him again, harder. Matt's eyes flutter open slightly and furrow when he sees us standing above him.

"What?" He he says with a deep sleep voice almost unintelligible. Nick looks at me with an annoyed look, knowing this is going to be hard.

"Hey I'm really sorry but is there any way you could drive us to the warehouse, I left Chris's essay there." Nick says quietly.

I can see Matt is still half asleep and didn't process anything nick just said. "Say that again?" Matt slurs waking up a bit more.

"I accidentally left Chris's essay at the warehouse and it's due by tomorrow. We need to go pick it up. Can you please drive us, I'm sorry." Nick asks.

"Nickkkk." Matt groans. "Are you serious? I'm in the middle of sleeping." Matt complains. "I know I know I'm sorry" Nick apologizes again.

Matt groans again while starting to get up. He walks out of his room silently, puts on his shoes, grabs the keys, and walks out the door with me and nick behind him.

We get in the car and Matt starts the engine but doesn't move. He sits there for a few seconds before I speak. "You good Matt?" I ask.

"Dude, I just woke up 3 minutes ago and my vision is still blurry. So unless you want me to drive with blurry vision and crash, give me a minute to wake up" he says with a bit of attitude.

Me and Nick look at each other and let out a silent laugh at his grumpiness. Matt rubs his eyes once more and starts backing out of the driveway. The ride there is mostly quiet, as we are all tired.

Once we get there we make Nick walk in and get it. A few minutes after he left the car we see him walking back out with my essay in his hand. "Stupid kid" I say laughing as he gets in the car. "Sorry again for scaring you earlier. I didn't mean to." I apologize to nick again. "Chris, seriously, it's ok." He's assures me once more.

Once we arrive home we are all exhausted and not looking forward to waking up in 4 hours to go to school. Me and Nick both say a thank you to Matt and apologize for waking him up. "It's alright. But you guys are buying me McDonald's tomorrow." Matt says walking towards his room. We all laugh and me and Nick agree that it's only fair.
