DAEMON TARGARYEN...was the bane of his brother's existence. he couldn't listen to simple instructions, always seeming to find himself in some form of trouble. their grandmother, ALYSSANE, thought all he needed was marriage and tried to suggest a marriage to RHEA ROYCE. however, the now, LADY ROYCE, was already betrothed to a young TURNELL TYRELL.
but their family had tried multiple times more to marry him off, 'get him settled', they'd say. but truly, in daemon's eyes at least, they just wanted rid of him. daemon to them was simply someone who tainted their family name. so he strived to be someone people feared, and he became more secluded from his family. spending more time with his dragon, CARAXES. to those who didn't know him, he was THE ROGUE PRINCE.
he appeared like a ghost, leaving no living proof of his escapades. he was dangerous—a bad story parents told children so they'd behave. but none of this would change his family's views; it's not like he aimed for that; if people feared him, who would want to marry him?
but unknown to him, there was a girl in the north, playing the game better than anyone in kings landing. maybe even better than he did; it wouldn't hurt to rile her up, would it?
