You remembered the night you and Dazai were out in that garden. How he held your face close to his and spoke the words that made you believe your life would change forever.

"I love you, L/n."

But now, you're not so sure if he does.

You were in the Agency looking through papers. Dazai wasn't in the Agency right now.. He said he had something to do.

You sighed and put the papers down. You stood up and began walking out of the office.

"L/n?" Atsushi asked.

You looked at him, "Yeah, Atsushi?"

"If you're looking for Dazai, he's in the cafe."

"Oh, thank you!" You smiled at him and left the office.

~Time Skip~
You walked inside the cafe and heard a familiar voice.

"Just one chance!"

"Maybe you shouldn't be so focused on trying to die with me and pay your tab."

You walked towards Dazai and the cafe's waitress and stared at them.

Why is he holding her hand?
You thought as your eyes widened.

"Please, belladonna! One chance! I can take you out to a nice dinner and we can drown in a river after!"

"Pay your tab."

He never does those things for me..

You walked over to them, "I'm sorry about him, he's an idiot most of the time." You smiled at the waitress and moved Dazai's hand away from hers.

"It's alright! My only concern is his ever-growing tab in this cafe!" The waitress smiled at you.

"Such striking beauty." Dazai sighed happily.

You noticed he was looking at the waitress whenever he said that... Not you.

You then watched the waitress walk away.

"Y/n!" Dazai exclaimed, "How are you?"

"O-oh.. Uh-"

"Come sit down!" He gestured to the seat across from him.

You sat down while looking at him, "W..what are you doing down here?"

"Oh, just getting myself a coffee. What about you?"

"I wondered where you were.."

"You did? How sweet of you!" He exclaimed with a closed eyed smile.

"Yeah. I was also wondering about something."

"Yes?"

"There's a new restaurant that just opened a few days ago. I was wondering if-"

"Oh, give me a moment,
Y/n!" He stood up from the booth.

Your eyes widened, "Wait, what? Where are you going?"

"Just a quick mission, give me 2 minutes!" He walked away and out of the cafe.

You stared down. He didn't seem like he cared for what you were about to say at all.. You felt a little broken hearted.

You then looked out the window to see what he was doing.

Your eyes widened.

He was talking with a woman outside.. On one knee, and holding their hand.

The woman was smiling at first, then looked concerned after he said something. She pulled away from him and began walking past him.
