"So.. how's it been?" Hoshi said, finally breaking the silence. I sat up. "Oh, its been.. ok I guess, Still stressful though... Pluto and Neptune still hate me... everyone still hates me.." I start tearing up and cover my eyes with the sleeves of my shirt. "Shhh.. they don't hate you. Besides, I'll always be here for you. Through anything." He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on top of mine, rubbing my arm to comfort me. The silence grew louder."Fuck.. I'm sorry. This is the first time I've seen you in forever and I'm already like this." Wiping the tears from my cheek, I rest my head on Hoshi's chest. "It's alright. If you ever need to talk about anything, I'm here." His heart is racing. I must've scared him. Damnit, of course I ruin the mood the first time I see him again. I always mess something up. "Venus." He hummed, "It's okay.." He knows how I am in these situations. He knows how my mind works. I'm so lucky to have him in my life.
We sat there, just holding each other for the longest time. I could've fell asleep in his arms, he's always so warm. "Are you alright now..?" Hoshi turned and looked at me, "Wanna play some video games or something?" He sounded so affectionate. I looked up and smiled. Just like old times, we'd constantly play Zombie Raid-Zone. We've played it ever since we were kids. "Yeah. I haven't played in a while, so don't be surprised if I'm a little rusty." I laughed softly as he tossed me a remote. We sat down on some pillows and loaded into the game. "Wave One; Good luck..." A sinister voice comes from the tv. Immediately the sound of clicking buttons filled the room. Graagghh... The zombies were coming for us. It was pretty easy to beat because it was only wave one, but as the waves passed it got harder. "Wave Twelve; You won't survive this.." I frantically mashed buttons, I've never been the best under pressure. Hoshi though, he's good at everything he does. He knows exactly how to do everything with the perfect precision. I wish I was like him. "Venus! Watch out!" I'd zoned out again. I was surrounded by zombies. "Oh, shit!" I was panicking, trying to shoot all the zombies. "It's the end of the line for you.." I exhaled and threw my head back. "Ugghh.. I always die so early." I put my controller to the side and watched Hoshi play. "it's alright, I'll carry us." He said smugly. "Yeah, like you always do." I smiled. — After a few minutes he was already on wave 20. "I'm kinda sleepy." I grabbed another pillow and a blanket from the bed so I could get comfy. I situated my pillows and blanket on the floor beside him. "It's alright." He paused, "...You can lay on me if you wanna.." He said in a low tone, not looking away from the screen, still mashing buttons. I rested my head on his leg and covered up. It was quiet. And warm. I closed my eyes, the sound of the game slowly fading away.
