*Stella's POV*
I woke up in a hospital. The one thing I noticed was tubes. Lots and lots of tubes. I try to get but I'm strapped down. Where an I? Where's Maddi? "MADDI!" I scream. "Oh, your awake." a strange figure sitting at the edge of my bed, his fringe is on right and he has black hair. I have never seen this man. Then the memories start flooding back. Phil, the crash, but then why am I here. With tubes nether less. "what happened" I say but it comes out as a whisper. "car crash." he says with a pain in his voice "Phil, what happened to Dan and Maddi. where are they." I say. "Dan and Maddi got the worst of it because the car hit their side. Dan is seriously injured." he says, A tear falls from his check. "Maddi got the worst of it." he says. I start to tear up. She's dead. My only sister is dead. Maddi. "Maddi is not dead but she is in a coma... she may never recover." Phil says.
*Maddi's POV* (when maddi thinks, the words are in bold.)
Why can't I open my eyes? Whats happening? Why cant i move? i struggle to get up and I suppose I make a sound because a voice starts to talk. "Maddi? Maddi is that you?" what is this voice? It's so familiar. "Maddi it's Dan, Danisnotonfire? Remember?" HOLY FLUFFBALLS. I REMEMBER "daan" i say strangled. Then i black out as Dan calls in a nurse.
I cant move. And now I cant talk. I can only think and hear. "This is all my fault" Dan says. No no no Dan its not your fault. please hear me. its not your fault. that stupid driver. "If only I was watching. Stella has been so worried about you and Phil hasn't eaten for days. I know this is a lot to ask but please try and wake up." I am Dan I am really trying. STELLA! Please nothing has to be wrong with Stella and Phil, poor little lion. If I could meow I would. But I cant. I. cant. do . anything. I can't even cry. "Stella only has a concussion but you are in a coma that you may never recover from." Dan says. Im trying. I promise I will fight.
