She grabbed her saw and we all watched as Min-jae became motionless, then rose up as a zombie. He snarled, then charged at Mi-jin.

Instead of swinging her saw at Min-jae, Mi-jin pushed him down.

Ha-ri was in complete shock, and wasn't moving at all.

"We have to kill him, Mi-jin!" I said.

"I fucking know!" she yelled.

Mi-jin jumped down on top of the now zombie version of Min-jae. She shoved her saw into Min-jae's mouth and looked back at me.

I got down and stabbed his neck with my knife.

Mi-jin put her hand on my shoulder while still looking at Min-jae. She was crying.

She didn't say anything and just hugged me.

I hugged her back then pulled away, knowing we needed to go back to the group since we have the weapons.

"Ha-ri," I said, looking at her. She didn't even look at me. "Ha-ri!"

She squeezed her eyes shut. I looked over to Mi-jin knowing that Ha-ri needed someone in that moment.

Mi-jin walked over to Ha-ri. In an attempt to comfort her, she softly said, "Hey. It's okay."

I joined them.

"Shut up. You sure as hell didn't know him like I did," Ha-ri sobbed.

Mi-jin lifted her own hand as if she was about to comfort her again, but Ha-ri stepped back.

"Maybe we didn't know him as long as you, but... Everyone's lost someone today. Think of the loss Hyo-ryung has gone through today," I told her.

Ha-ri's face seemed to soften as she realized what happened to Hyo.

"Oh... I noticed it too. She must have been close with Joon-yeong and Dae-su. She was the most sad with their deaths. And her best friend left her, Ji-min, who's most likely dead now," Mi-jin added.

Ha-ri lowered her head and thought for a moment. She looked up at us once again.

"Let's head back," she announced. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry. I get it. We both do. It's okay, Ha-ri," Mi-jin replied.

I looked back at Min-jae's now dead body.

Mi-jin and Ha-ri were about to walk off, but I stopped them.

"Hey," I started. "It'd be smart to get his equipment."

Ha-ri nodded. She walked over and pulled Min-jae's arrows out of his quiver. She also grabbed his bow, which he had dropped. Then, she removed his quiver and loosely put it on over her own.

"My brother knows the basics of archery," she said.

"That's good. That's something," Mi-jin replied.

We all walked back to where the group originally was. I killed a couple zombies along the way.

The group wasn't there anymore.
