A/N: This chapter is mainly filler, just so you know.

Sonic lay back against the one wall that didn't shock him every time he came near it. His thoughts raced almost as fast as he did. He had to figure a way out of here. Not only was his family probably worried sick, but he was Randell's trump card. He knew that he was bait. No way was he going through with that.

He could try to Spin Dash at the wall. No; already tried that. His quills were still a bit black. Maybe if he could find the power source for the cell wall, he could somehow bring down the walls.

He looked down into his lap and his watch caught his eye. 'Or I could just call everyone on my communicator.' He mentally facepalmed himself. Why hadn't he thought of that when he got here? Oh well, better late than never.

Just as he reached for the communicator however, Randell walked into the room he was confined in. Of course, he had on that cloak. Just what was it with this guy and his cloak?

"Hello again, Sonic."

Sonic decided to play it like Shadow. "Hmph."

"Still not in a friendly mood, huh?" He didn't seem as annoyed with his lack of a response than Sonic expected. "I'm sure you'll lighten up soon enough."

"If you let me out, then I'd really lighten up," the hedgehog stated, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Oh, you know I can't do that. It'd ruin my entire plan." Sonic couldn't see his face, but he was pretty sure that he was grinning evilly. "After all, I need you to drag in those siblings of yours. But I won't go into too much detail. I'm not as dumb as that Robotnik. Or, should I say, Eggman?"

"Oh, please." Sonic rolled his eyes up toward the ceiling then moved up to the wall so he stood face to face with Randell. "You want to steal the other three medallions and use their power for some type of super power and become super powerful to take over Robotnik's empire."

For a moment, they just stared at each other. They both knew he got it right.

"Hmph." Randell's turn to pull a Shadow.

He stormed out of the room without a word. Sonic was glad. Now he had a chance to call the others. He flipped out the small screen from his watch.

"Low battery? Really?"

The charts all seemed to make no sense. They didn't seem to connect at all. Cyrus and Tails made something out of them though, so they had to mean something.

"Tails, are you sure?" Cyrus leaned over the computer with the reynard. (A/N: A reynard is a male fox.)

"I'm sure. All the readings show it." The kitsune released a large yawn. He had large, dark circles under his eyes and his eyelids drooped so that half of his eyes were hidden.

"Tails," Shadow bent down to his level. "Did you stay up all night, working?"

"Uh, maybe." He shook his head, shaking out the drowsiness. "But I'm not going to bed. I'm going to find Sonic."

They had to give him this. He was definitely determined.

"Here, I'll bring it up on the map." The fox rapidly hit the keys to bring up the correct files. A map appeared onto the screen. Different colors were covering the land masses. "This shows different Chaos Energy levels in the area." He waved his hand toward a green area on the map. "This is where the most energy was detected around the time Randell took Sonic. This shows that they should be..." He studied over the area for a moment before pointing to a small space in the middle on the green. "here!"

"Awesome! You did it, Tails!" Manic cheered.

The fox blushed and smiled at the hedgehog's praise. "Yeah! Now we can go save Sonic!"
