A Life of You

The Semester Exams Pt.2

This is the second part of this short story of Hirano and Kagiura.

Kagi finishes washing up after his basketball practice and now it is almost 7 P.M. He and Hirano plan to get something for dinner.

"Okay, Hirano I am done! Shall we get going-" Kagi shouts as he walks out of the bathroom and stops to an unexpected sight.

Hirano had fallen asleep on Kagi's jacket while he was studying. Hirano had been studying all day and the exhaustion had finally gotten to him. 

"He looks so peaceful when he sleeps, but I wish I could be there by him. I better go get us food before the cafeteria closes," Kagi said as he left the dorm room.

                                                            ----------- 20 minutes later --------------

Kagi quietly returns to the room with food for Hirano and himself. 

"Hmm he is still sleeping, he must've been really tired from the exam panic recently. I better wake him up so he can eat before bed."

Kagi then sets the food on the table and attempts to wake up Hirano-san.

"Hirano-san, please wake up to eat some food. I bought it just now, so eat it while it is still warm," Kagi said slightly shaking Hirano's arm.

"Mmm, let me sleep a little longer-" Hirano mumbled.

"Okay Hirano-san, but only 5 more minutes." Kagi said as he went to prepare their meals."

                                             --------------------- 5 minutes later ------------------------

Hirano slowly walks up to the dinner table after he woke up to eat. He looked exhausted still even after taking a nap and Kagi noticed.

"Hey Hirano, are you doing okay? You look like you haven't slept in 3 days."

"Yeah...I am fine, don't worry about me-..." cut off Hirano.

"Hirano-san! Please be okay, please be okay." pleaded Kagiura after he ran to Hirano now on the ground.

Hirano seemed to have collapsed from studying too much and not giving his body the proper care it needs.

Kagiura then put Hirano into his bed and got some water for him. He is so worried about Hirano that he stays by his side the rest of the evening.

                                                   --------------- 3 hours later -----------------

"Hmmm.. Kagi is that you?" Hirano says as he slowly sits up on the bed.

Kagi sat there next to Hirano laying his head on his arms on the bed. Kagi wanted to stay by Hirano's side even though he needed sleep as well. 

"Oh Kagi, thank you for taking care of yourself and helping me as well," Hirano said as he brushed Kagi's hair with his hand.
