(17 weeks)

Harry carried a crying Darcy into the ER as fast as he could with Y/n trailing behind. "It's okay, baby. Shh shh." Darcy was screaming so loud with pain Y/n almost cried. "We need to be seen right away. I think our babies arm is out of socket." The receptionist was in shock at who was in front of her but took them right back. "This is bullshit. What the hell was I thinking taking us out the front? I knew something like this would happen." Y/n put her hand on Harry's and rubbed it. "Harry you had no idea this would happen." Harry Dan his hands through his hair, something he does when he gets nervous. "How are you not pissed?" Y/n got up and walked around for a second. "I am pissed but I'm trying to stay calm for her. She's already screaming. I don't want her more upset." Harry reached for Y/n, who was now pacing. "You're right. I'm sorry, I'm just hoping it's nothing." The doctor walked in to see Darcy and went straight to her arm. "Alrighty. To me this looks like Nursemaids elbow. It's common  when a ligament slips out of place and gets caught between two bones in the elbow joint. Very common in toddlers. How did it happen?" Y/n answered before Harry. "We were walking out of a restaurant and paparazzi was everywhere, a fan grabbed her arm." Darcy was crying and Y/n sat her on her lap. "Okay, mom. We are gonna take a good look here. The doctor looked and made a face with worry. "Oh Lordy. It's a little worse then I thought. Do you see the swelling and bruising? That's a sign of a break. I'd like to take her back to get X-rays." Darcy was still crying when she was taken back by the nurses. All she wanted was Harry and Y/n and she was scared. Y/n and Harry waited, hardly saying a word. "We're  back. The doctor had us start her on some pain medications so she's a little tired right now." Darcy was on her little cot and she laid next to Y/n, who was stroking her face. "I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean for this to happen to her." Y/n turned around and looked at Harry. "Harry it's not your fault. I wish you'd stop thinking it is. I'm not mad at you and neither is Darcy." Harry had tears form in his eyes and wiped them away. "I just hate seeing her hurt. You guys are my everything and to see her cry like that broke me heart." Y/n got off the cot and stood in front of Harry. "You're such a sweet soul. That's one of the reasons why I love you." Harry wrapped his arms around Y/n and hugged her. The doctor came in to explain Darcy's situation. "Alrighty we have a break. Good thing though it is minor so she will only need a splint and not a cast. She will need to wear it a month and then whatever city you guys will be in have a doctor examine it and see what they think.  But for now, the splint. Leave it on for 3-6 weeks. When you give her a bath wrap the splint do not let her take it off. It will bother her a great deal but it needs to stay on no matter how much she cries or it will not heal right." The doctor sets the elbow and puts the splint on her. "When you get back home or wherever give her half of one of these pills. They are pain medication. Half of one every 12 hours. The pills will make her drowsy so make sure you're around her after she's taken them. I've also given her extra paddings for her splint to make it more comfortable." Harry thanked the doctor and picked Darcy up easily, taking her back to the car. "That was a trip, wasn't it?" Darcy was in her carseat and shifted around. "I'm hoping she doesn't mess with that splint a lot. Harry I don't think we should go to a show or two just to see how she does with it. Is that okay with you?" Harry grabbed Y/n's leg and rubbed it. "Of course it's okay. We don't want anything else to happen. Next show isn't for 2 days now. We will get on the plane and if you want me to I can sleep on the couch. We really need her another bed for the plane and the bus." Y/n agreed and the car pulled right next to the plane. They got on and thankfully Darcy was still asleep. "Is she okay?" Louis asked as soon as they stepped on. "She has a broken elbow. She's in a splint. From now on we will not be going out the front of anywhere anymore. My orders." Harry was dead set on that rule. He made sure the driver heard it and they boys as well. "If any of you have her for any reason please go out the back with her. You too, Y/n. I know you know but still." Y/n shook her head along with the boys. "We get that. For sure. Is she in pain?" Liam's face had worry on it as he waited for Harry's answer, but Y/n jumped in. "Not right now. She might be when she wakes up so I'm sorry in advance." The boys didn't care as long as she was okay.
Hours passed and the plane was well in the air. Y/n woke up to Darcy whining around, and woke up instantly. She checked the time. "Baby you can't take you pain meds for about her three hours. How about a snack?" Darcy started to cry harder and Y/n carefully picked her up. "I'm sorry, baby there's nothing mommy can do. I wish I could take the pain away. Would you like a bath too?" Y/n and Darcy went into the bathroom and there was a little tub in there. "Now we have some bubbles here and toys. Darcy stood next to Y/n, seeming to not pay attention to the sling and splint. Y/n filled up the tub enough for her and wrapped the splint for her. "Here we go. Does that feel a little better?" Darcy splashed with her good arm and kicked a little bit. "I'm sorry, Darcy. You'll feel better soon." Y/n put shampoo in Darcy's hair and rinsed it off. She let her play and took some pictures of her to send to Anne and her sister.

Anne: My baby! How are you and Harry doing with it?

Y/n: I'm okay, nothing I can do but Harry is pissed. He said from now on we go out the back everywhere no matter who has her or where it is. Her and I aren't going to a few shows.

Anne: Oh my gosh. He told me he felt bad but it wasn't his fault. People just have no respect I'm surprised he didn't try to find the person that did it.

Y/n: I don't think he had time because Darcy was screaming and he wanted her taken care of.

Then her sister.....

Katie: look at her. She's a brave little girl.

Y/n: yeah she is but I'm nervous for the next few weeks. She's crying already with pain but I'm hoping it'll get better in the next few days.

Katie: it will! She's a strong girl.

Y/n got Darcy out of the tub and redid her splint. Darcy didn't move her arm but she was still hurting. Y/n wrapped it and put the sling around her. She  put a diaper on her and a plain t shirt. She brushed her hair and put her in bed with her. Thank fully she went back to sleep and Y/n caught her breath. She was on her phone and somehow it didn't get out to anyone that Darcy was hurt. She was surprised at that since Harry and the boys were watched like crazy. But Darcy was comfortable for a little while. Until the plane landed.
