Author's Notes:
Hailow everyone, I would like to note that if you'd be so kind as to read this chapter in a small font and white theme if you cannot well that is fine too. I apologize in advance if there are typographical and grammatical errors as I am not fluent in English.

This is my first time creating a fiction book with a historical background so I try to research a lot of information as to what royals do in certain celebrations. I apologize too if there is any miss information said in this book, well it is fiction after all. ^^

I am open to suggestions for doing better in my writing so please don't hesitate. I hope we'll have a wonderful journey through writing this book. Thank you!!

Princess Amelia's POV

Four years have passed since the day father died. I still haven't fully accepted our sudden loss even if I knew that I needed to move on since life doesn't stop. There were times that I felt my father's presence, he enjoyed taking portraits of birds and after his death, a variety of birds flew in the corridors of the castle each day. It's like they know what happened and are grieving with us.

Mother did the right thing to have all of our subjects have a week of labour for mourning the loss of our great leader. The kingdoms far and wide sent us flowers and letters giving their respects to our family. It was the first time I've ever lost someone close to me, I don't know how to cope with it. "Your Majesty? Hello?? Your Majesty?" I heard someone call and put me out in deep thought. "Yes Court Lady Victoria?" replied to her calling me, "Oh, nothing your Highness. It's just that you look so deep in thought and we still have a lot to do for today." she replied. I remembered we were going to the Tridentum Kingdom to attend the coronation of King Robert and Queen Angela. "Yes, yes I remember. Let us go to the dining hall first to have breakfast." I smiled gently and Court Lady Victoria lead the way.

"Good morning children, Amelia aren't you a bit late?" Mother said. "Apologies Mother, I was lost in thought earlier and didn't notice the time. Good morning Luke!" I replied while taking my seat on the right-hand side of Mother since Luke was on her left. "Good morning dear sister, how was your sleep?" Luke said quite frankly, I haven't been sleeping well lately because of how much work I was doing to help Mother. "It seems short but enough to have the energy to go with you to the coronation in the Tridentum Kingdom." I replied before taking in a spoonful of rice with eggs. Breakfast went by quietly, I missed this because they both have been busy lately, busier than I am. We rarely see each other especially Mother as the reigning ruler of our kingdom, the responsibility she has is very heavy. Luke, on the other hand, finds time to spend with me. We sometimes go out riding a horse or see the new imported dresses from every kingdom, I love him so much. How I wished that he would take a moment of rest as he deserves it.

Beatrice, our royal secretary, came out of her way today to plan what we are going to wear at the coronation later. After taking time to freshen up, I came back to my quarters and saw a beautiful blue dress, paired with white pumps, silver jewellery, and my tiara.

After I finished changing into my dress, I heard a knock at my door. "Your majesty, it's me Victoria." I heard and immediately let her in, "I have come to help style your hair." she said smiling, I replied, "Oh how thoughtful you are, I appreciate your help." Seeing as she soon started curling and putting pins in my hair, she already has an idea of what style suits me. She made a low and a little bit of a messy bun to show off the curls.

I would trust her with my hair if I have any occasions to attend. I stood up from my dresser to look at my reflection in the huge mirror. I definitely look stunning, I hope Mother loves it. Lady Victoria said that we are to meet each other at the front entrance of the Palace.
