The action of the book takes place after "End game" movie. However, no one died there, and Thanos was defeated. The situation in New York calmed down, and the Avengers could live like a "normal" family. Peter moved into Avengers Tower with aunt May.
As for the spider verse characters, the action takes place after Spot is defeated. (I know the movie still has one part but let's imagine they beat him)
Miguel has already let Miles off. He was still not part of the elite team, but he served his stint there anyway.
The rest of the plot will be explained in the book!
