Ch1 : Something Needs to Change

Every day he goes to work and stays all day. Just once I wish he could love on me, I know we have only been in a relationship for two years and he just got a great job in real estate but I'm his girl. I need love and affection every once in a while. Why can't he see that?

My day today was like normal, zack and I talked for a bit and then he took his shower.
I rolled over in the bed and fell right back to bed. "Ophelia!?" I jump out of bed, what is it!?". Happy birthday to you my 22 year old lady!" He kissed me as he said " I'll be back early for your Birthday surprise." We walked out headed to work. I was excited that he didn't forget about my birthday for the first time in a while since we started to date.

I made sure the whole day before he got home I was going to be ready. I got my nails done and toes , I put on a devious red dress with red lipstick. I sat in the living room waiting for him to come in the door. Seconds turned into hours as I was about to call it a night, the door opened.

He walks in all tired. "Baby I'm so sorry, I had to work late and hey you know me. I get into my work ha ha." I stopped him before he could go any further in my tears. " I have always stood by you even when you became a workaholic and for what!?

Now your tired and it's my birthday and everything right now that you stand for doesn't mean nothing to me ! I thought we worked thought your issues but it looks like it was a waste of time and I'm tired of this! I'm gone and I wish you the best Zack!" I walked out of the house without saying nothing else.
