Our story begins with a Duo of Trainers named Smg3 and Smg4. They aren't quite Rivals but they certainly are not Friends. They were sent on a mission by some sort of Pokémon Ranger Association to stop what the PRA called 'The End of Kingdoms'. Unsure why they of all people were called upon to participate in this Task, they hesitantly accepted it. The Duo were currently on their way to Professor Egadd's Pokémon Lab to collect Starter Pokémon before hitting their mission Target of the Castle.
"Don't think I'm happy to work with you!" Smg3 tells Smg4, His Ralts on his shoulder "I'm only doing this because we're on an important mission! You and Mei literally wouldn't stand a chance if Ralts and I hadn't come along!"
Smg4 rolled his eyes, his Ralts Mei in his arms "Yeah Yeah, whatever. Remember what they said, We have to go to the Professor and get a Starter Mon apparently, and then we have to go to 'The Castle'? Apparently the Professor the Princess are aware of our arrival, so this should be easy"
"Well we're already in town, so where the hell is the Lab?"
We see a Girl with Orange Hair and a Girl with Green Hair walk out of a building
"Now that we got Froakie and Sobble, What do you say we head back to the Castle and try out a battle Melony?" The orange haired girl giggled then winked "Just so you know, just because you're my friend, Froakie and I won't go easy"
"You're on Meggy!" The green haired girl giggled then started running "Last one to the castle is a Rotten Applin!"
"Melony! Wait up!" The orange haired girl ran after her
"Guess we found it" 4 shrugs and walks to the building followed by 3. They walk into the building looking around "Now where do we-?"
Before he finished, someone pushed between him and 4 causing the two to help before falling over and the person who pushed them to trip.
"Mario! Watch where you're going!" A voice behind us says "You're going to hurt someone!" The person speaking walked in front of us "I'm so sorry about him! He can get very over excited at times..."
3 and 4 sat up, shaking their heads
"Nah, we're in a new place" Smg4 puts hand on his hat and smiled sheepishly "We should've payed attention to where we're going..." 4 got a good look at the Duo in front of them. They were two guys in Red and Green Clothes, with Mustaches, and Matching Red and Green hats which had an 'M' and an 'L' in them, perhaps brothers?
Both held out their hands to help the two rivals up
"I don't think we've seen you guys around before..." The one in Green spoke "Have you guys just moved here?
"We were... Actually urgently called upon by the Princess" 4 spoke "Even though we have Pokémon already, she still wants us to get Starter Pokémon"
"Lucky you! Weegie and I were just about to pick our Starters too!" The one in red laughs
"We-Weegie?" Smg3 questions
"Oh right!" The one in Green smiled, gesturing to himself "My Name's Luigi, but all my friends and my Brother here tend to call me 'Weegie'"
The one in Red gestures to himself "And I'm Mario"
4 nods with a smile "Nice to meet you both, I'm Smg4" He smiles at Mei who was in his arms "Say Hi to Mei!"
"Ral!" Mei waved
"Smg3..." Smg3 points to the Ralts on his shoulder "And this is my Ralts"
Luigi's eyes sparkled "A duo of Shiny Ralts! Extraordinary!" He chuckled "You guys must be amazing friends!!"
