"You're lying." Millie yelled over Laura and I, a tear falling down her cheek.

"I'm done lying to you Millie, I knew I needed to tell you." I tried to explain, absolute despiration in my voice as Laura put her head into her hands, sighing deeply.

"You mean after eight years of knowing each other and three years of fucking marriage, you never thought to tell me all of this?" Millie asked sternly as my face grew pale, my hands gripping into the cushion of our couch.

"I didn't want you to hate me, I knew you'd be gone the second I told you!" I argued, wishing I could've told her something different. Anything different.

"That's a bullshit excuse! Matthew was my father Cassidy! It was entirely my business!" Millie replied as more tears began to stream down her face in frustration.

"Baby-"

"Don't fucking baby me!" Millie yelled before stopping herself and taking a deep breath,"I need to take a moment before I say something I'll regret. I think it's best if you sleep out here tonight." She requested, picking up her phone and keys before leaving to go pick up Rory.

"I shouldn't have said anything." I said in shock as I laid my head in my hands, a few tears falling down my cheeks.

"Cassidy, you knew you'd have to tell her sooner or later. You didn't even finish the task, none of that was your fault. There was never going to be a right time for this." Laura attempted to comfort as she patted my back.

"I knew this would happen, I should've waited, she's already stressed out as is. She has to understand that I couldn't tell anyone, I couldn't even tell my closest friends!" I cried, brushing hair away from my face as I continued to sob.

"You guys are a strong couple, I'm sure everything will turn out alright. Besides, you guys have Rory bonding you together, things change a lot when a baby comes into the picture. You guys are parents now, you can't just think about yourselves anymore." Laura explained, placing her phone into her purse before snapping it closed. "Also I'd like it if you came to the house on Tuesday, I'll be talking to your sister about possibly-"

"Absolutely not." I said quietly through my tears, an angry tone settling into my voice.

She will not put my sister through that.

"Cassidy, you had a choice, so does she-"

"Don't say that! You tell her nothing about Wintercrest, don't cloud my sister's mind with that shit. Let her be a fucking kid, let her have the childhood I wanted!" I argued as I stood up, tear stains along my cheeks.

"I gave you everything! You wouldn't have even had a childhood if it weren't for me!" Laura yelled back at me.

"Laura, you aren't telling her. Get out of my house." I said sternly, gesturing towards the door.

She quickly grabbed her coat and purse before leaving the house, leaving me alone.

Completely alone.
