''What- what the fuck happened?" i ask him a question that i know wont have an exact answer
''I don't know but we have to go there now, right now." and he doesn't have to ask me twice.
LAMBER WART
"we dont know what happened we tried checking the footage but it was all gone, and since it was behind the station, there were no witnesses"
*behind a gas station?* i think
Its almost like the murderer is onto us, like they are watching our every move. The thought of that sends chills crawling down my back and right up my spine.
''Did you find any prints?" lake asks
''Negative, no weapons either. But there seems to be a gun wound."
The wound he points out looks about the same size as roberts, "the wound-" I am interrupted.
"is the same size as roberts, the only difference is the wound on robert was on his chest, this one is on the centre of his forehead" lake adds
''Indeed...''
"not only is there a wound but also what seems to be a bruise on the top of his head" Lake adds once again
Lakes lack of stupidity fascinates me.
Hes so smart.
''You alright dear?"
"Yes- sorry" i choke over my words.
''Alright'' he laughs
My stomach rumbles, i didn't realise how hungry i was, i thought it was just the pit i couldnt get rid of in my stomach
''You hungry?" he asks
Has he been paying close attention to my body language? is it that obvious?
Before i can even make up fake answers in my head hes gone, out of my sight and im confused.
Then 1...2 minutes pass of curiosity and hes back with a sandwich and a bottle full of something that's steaming
''i didnt know the gas station sells sandwiches?'' i say
''Oh yeah they dont, i made this'' he says with a light smile and hands it to me, and im red red and red.
And Then, we are heading back home with pictures and information
I take a bite out of the sandwich he offered and i'm amazed
"holy shit..."
''What? Oh no did i mess something up...?" he says in a nervous voice
''no no no, its so good! I didnt know u were this good at making sandwiches''
''Oh..." he gives a nervous laugh with relief in his face
And here we are, back at my house but somethings pushing me to start another conversation with him, something makes me upset knowing hes leaving
''Thanks for the sandwich" i say
''No problem, my sister loves those"
