Lyon, France, 1994: Nathalie is finishing her nursing shift, it's 5am. She gets into her car and drives through the still deserted streets. Very quickly, she notices that a car is following her closely. When passing her, the car swerves violently behind Nathalie and begins flashing her headlights. The young nurse accelerates, anxious, while trying to see the driver of the vehicle in her rear view mirror. The flashes of headlights continue, frantic. She turns right, then left: the car follows her. Nathalie is starting to panic, what does this person want from her? She arrives in the driveway leading to her house. Her only hope, to try everything and run to lock herself in her house to call the police. As she gets out of the car, she hears her pursuer getting out and yelling, "LOCK YOURSELF AND CALL THE POLICE QUICKLY!" Not daring to turn around, she locked herself in her home and called the gendarmes. She peeks out the window to see a tall figure armed with a butcher knife, savagely attacking the man following her. Terrified, Nathalie takes refuge in her bathroom, praying that help will arrive as soon as possible. Only later will she understand what really happened that day: the man in the car was trying to save her. He had seen a man slip into Nathalie's car and was trying to warn her. He paid for it with his life
