"Come on baby eat your food." I begged Brayden. I sat frustrated trying to get him to eat his baby food but it seemed impossible. The baby food was everywhere except his mouth.

"Ok then, I guess I'll just clean up real quick before I take you over to aunty Jess." I told him, he just giggled showing his growing baby teeth.

I got a napkins and began cleaning up the baby food. Once I finished, I slipped on some decent clothes a white shirt, black jeans, black shoes, I also grabbed a faded grey hoodie and grabbed Braydon's diaper bag.

I hung it over my shoulder and grabbed his stroller I grabbed a white warm onesie, a beanie and some blankets.

I walked over to his Baby chair and picked him up carefully. I put the warm onesie over his body suit. I wrapped him in one of the blanket and placed him in the stroller and put the other blanket over the stroller. I grabbed my keys and old flip phone, locked the door as I left and made my way to Jess' house.

It was still dark out since it was five in the morning and it was freezing.

The neighborhood Brayden and I live in isn't very safe but it's was the only place I could afford. I worked day and night and it was still very difficult to pay the rent. I didn't mind working so much especially because I wanted to make sure that Brayden had a roof over his head and food, in his tummy.

I was kicked out of my house when I was seventeen when my family found out I was pregnant with Braydon . The only person I was close to now  was  Jess. We have known each other for five years, we've been through thick and thin. She takes care of Braydon while I work, since she works from home plus she loves him. without her I don't know what I would do.

After walking for about 15 mins I finally got to jess' house, I knocked and waited patiently for her to answer. She opened the door with messy hair, tired eyes, and blanket wrapped around herself. It was evident that I had woken her up, but then again so are half the people in the city. But once her eyes landed on Brayden's stroller they lit up.

She dropped her blanket and quickly peeked inside the stroller to find a bubbly Braydon. She quickly pulled his stroller in shielding him from the harsh wind.

"Want to come inside? I'll make you some hot coffee !" She looked over at me in worry.

"No I'm already running late for my shift,I'll pick him up at 1 am, I won't wake you I have the key." she just nodded, I kissed Braydon goodbye and left for work.

I work at a small diner in the morning and afternoon  and for the rest of the night I work at a bar. The two jobs barely helped me pay the rent it's so hard. But id do anything for my baby boy.
...
Work passed by agonizingly slow, I wanted to hold my baby boy . it was already 11:37am, there was barely any body in the crappy old bar, so I just pretended to wipe the counter.

I heard the door open and a guy walked in. He seemed familiar but She couldn't quite remember when she met him.He looked very powerful like if he was the leader of a mafia I kind of just wanted hide under the bar. It seemed as if he was  around twenty years old, he had sharp facial features, messy dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

He was wearing fancy black pants, with a white button up, and a tie hung loosely around his neck. He was really attractive but he was also very I intimidating.

He sat on a stool not far from me,I walked cautiously over to where he was sitting take his order.

"Is there anything I can get you?" I asked trying to not say anything that might get me killed. I looked at him with the dish rag at hand.
