Yami was certainly pleased with himself. He had gotten what he wanted and the chance to practically man-handle Seto around.

"So, how did it go?" Yugi's nervous voice cracked through the silence. A smug smirk spread across Yami's face as he glanced over to his partner.

"Utterly amazing," he spoke, his smirk turning sinister.

"Is Kaiba-kun mad at me? Can you tell him I apologize? I'm rea-" Yugi squeaked. Yami shushed Yugi calmly, still smirking.

"He's not mad at you, partner. Seto has his suspicions about my existence and can't process it correctly. I played some tricks that may just help him." he explained. Yugi tilted his head to the side and gave Yami a confused look.

"Tricks?" Yugi questioned. Yami nodded.

"Tricks." he repeated, grinning evilly, "but it's nothing to worry about, partner." Yugi simply nodded and left it at that. He trusted Yami and didn't bother to question his words.

Yami turned his attention away from Yugi and continued walking back to the Kame Game shop.

The night was peaceful and quiet. The slight breeze was soothing, brushing his bangs away from his face as he walked. It was a perfect night to relax.

Just one issue.

Yami's mind continued to wander back to Seto.

He couldn't stop thinking about the other male. He couldn't stop thinking about how responsive Seto had been to the lightest touch. It was such a thing to watch. Yami wanted to do it over and over again just to see Seto's reactions.

It was an odd thought. Yami had never felt like this before, it had always been anger and hate coursing through his veins but in Seto's presence everything was different, as if it was a chance to finally feel human and Yami liked it. Hell, he utterly loved it. He indulged himself in the feeling whenever he was around Seto.

Yami scowled and kicked a rock down the sidewalk. Odd. Such odd thoughts. It was as if he yearned to be around Seto, as if he wanted to always be with Seto. It felt like he was becoming consumed by the thought of the man.

He needed to get away from this feeling and fast. He didn't need these feelings. They would only get in the way.

Yami took a deep breath to compose his thoughts as he approached the Game Shop. It would be too much to think about if he kept on like this.

"Partner," Yami started, gaining Yugi's attention, "I believe it is time for you to take over."

"Oh, yes, yes, of course" Yugi squeaked. Yami blinked, feeling a sudden pressure in his brain. Then he was back in his soul room, a familiar twisting lair of stairs and door going as far as the eye can see.

It was a calming setting for Yami, despite the questions it arose by simply being. It was what he was used to and he didn't wish to change it anytime soon. He had far more important things he could focus on.

Important things mean messing around with Kaiba.

Oh, how Yami yearned to see Kaiba again, especially with those reactions the other man had. It would be absolutely delightful to see again.

He couldn't help but smile at the idea of annoying Kaiba at school, but he'd, of course, have to have Yugi agree with him to be in control at school.

The times before, Yami had simply taken over forcefully but that was also before they had been fully aware of each other. They were alright with each other now but sometimes Yami could sense that Yugi was still uneasy around him. It made it feel as if something was clawing at his heart when he remembered that Yugi was still in fear. It was another one of those human feelings. He didn't like them at all.
