Having Cassie in their cabin wasn't entirely bad. Cassie and Kate had been best friends for quite a while, they had a pretty rough fall out a couple years ago after Kate devolved a crush on the girl.
Cassie distanced herself from Kate after that and Kate stayed distant. That is until they finally started talking again, Kate was over Cassie at that point and started devolving a hard crush on America Cavez who was in her social studies class.
Everything was really fine between them, until the incident.
"Going to you Kate!!" Cassie yelled setting a perfect volleyball to kate.

The ball went flying hitting in between two of team X-men's teammates scoring yet again another victory for team avengers.
Cassie launched at Kate giving her a hug and Kate let her. She needed to get over the grudge she had on Cassie she needed to be friends with her again, for closure, for healing.
The two of them laughed as the rest of their teammates came over congratulating the team.
"Alright game plan..this is the last game it's us against the thunderbolts, Sam I want you to be out right hitter, Kate stay middle, Teddy left. I want Pietro back middle, Parker back left and Gwen back right." Their camp counselor (Steve or captain America) said the team nodded.
"You got killer reflexes Gwen and Pete but Gwen's more graceful she's gonna be our setter any questions? No? Good. Avengers assemble!"
The first couple minutes of going back in forth is intense, they were 24 to 24, anyone could win this.
The ball flies up the air and Kate watches the teams middle hitter intensely. Boy if looks could kill Kate would be far past under 6 feet.
The girl was small but she had a muscular build, she planted her feet real well. Her hair had fading pink into the ends of her hair barley noticeable but just enough that kate could tell from up close.
Her face was soft, yet hard. She tried to make herself look tough and it was working it was like a baby was holding a machete.
Kate watches the girls feet leave the sand.

And she's up in the air following the blondes body. They meet at the net and for a second Kate swears that the girl is so close they might as well have pecked a kiss.
That's short lived though as the blondes hand comes through slapping the volleyball directly straight for Kate's face.
The impact came quick and fast. Kate's not expecting to hear a crunch but she does.
The pain is sharp, and she falls onto her back.
Even though the pain currently wasn't enough to make her sob it sure did make eyes water real bad.
The pain shoots through her nose as she tries to hold it but she lets out a yelp as a crinkling noise can be heard.
The noise from the game is tuned out as she's completely focused on her nose and the slight blood that's trickling down into her mouth.
She lets out a groan of pain as a really bright light interrupts her process of thinking.
"YO BISHOP YOU DID IT!" She hears someone yell, Kate blinks trying to adjust her eyes to the group of people that formed around her.
