Not once in Gabriella's life did she expect a plot twist like this.
"Mom?" Gabriella, Angelina, and Addison said tearfully.
Lucille's jaw dropped the moment she laid eyes on Gabriella since the last time she saw her daughter, Gabriella was only eighteen.
The entire ambience changed and Leonardo was no longer the target in Angelina's eyes.
"G-gabi? Is t-that really y-you?" Lucille said tearfully.
Gabriella tensed and took a few steps back as Lucille eyed her with curiosity.
Being around Lucille meant there'd be trouble.
Trouble that the De Luca's could never recover from.
"You look different Gabi. Really different." Addison said in awe.
"All my girls in one room without dad! This is amazing! Isn't it Gabi?" Lucille exclaimed.
Gabriella's heart pounded as her mother and sisters eyed her with curiosity.
She couldn't be here.
Leonardo noticed Gabriella's nervous posture and brushed his finger against her hand since he was still handcuffed to the chair.
Seeing Lucille's face clearly for the time ever made Leonardo feel strange.
She looked exactly like Gabriella, only blonde.
"Sorella? Get these chains off me." Leonardo said annoyed.
Though Gabriella was still in comeplete shock, hearing Leonardo's helpless plea brought her back to her senses.
This wasn't her family.
And they never would be.
Gabriella quickly pulled a pin from her hair and unchained Leonardo, although the cocking sound of a gun was brought up to his head the moment he stood up.
Angelina smirked and shoved the gun deeper into Leonardo's neck as Gabriella watched in anger.
"And is this little Leonardo? You're so big now! But you look just like your father." Lucille said bluntly.
"No shit Sherlock! Just so you know, half of the De Luca mafia is outside right now, so I suggest you remove the gun before daddy shoots your pretty little brain out! Got it?" Gabriella sneered.
Both Angelina and Lucille giggled loudly at Gabriella's comment while Addison glanced at them confused.
"Can't you just leave Leonardo alone? I mean other than killing Kenji, he hasn't done anything to piss off dad. Only Salvatore has." Addison said confused.
Angelina stopped laughing and flicked Addison off while Lucille giggled in anticipation.
For the De Luca's, this felt like a fever dream.
What was going on?
"It's been almost eighteen years since I've seen you Gabi! And almost ten since I've seen you twins! Why do you look so skinny Angie? And why do you look so fat Gabi?" Lucille said confusedly.
Both Angelina and Gabriella awkwardly tensed in their spots while Addison looked down.
Of course Lucille would only ever pay attention to Gabriella and Angelina.
Gabriella rolled her eyes to hold the tears in.
Every insecurity she had was because of Lucille.
Why did she have to come back?
