Chapter 1 - Master Elrik

Lily was sweet little 17 Years old and about to turn 18 on the next day.

She couldn't wait for her birthday, as it marked a significant milestone in her community. According to the ancient traditions of her village, turning 18 meant that she would undergo a sacred initiation ceremony to discover her unique magical ability.

Lily's heart fluttered with anticipation as she wondered what extraordinary power she would possess. Would she be able to control the elements or communicate with animals? The possibilities seemed endless, and she couldn't help but daydream about the adventures her newfound abilities might bring.

In the days leading up to her birthday, Lily sought guidance from the village elders, who shared stories of past initiates and the incredible feats they had accomplished. Their tales filled her imagination with wonder and fueled her desire to unlock her own potential.

On the eve of her birthday, Lily's family and friends gathered around a large bonfire, adorned with colorful ribbons and mystical symbols. As the fire crackled and danced, the village elder stepped forward, holding an ancient tome that contained the secrets of their magical heritage.

With a solemn voice, the elder began to recite the sacred incantations, invoking the spirits of their ancestors and calling upon the magic that lay dormant within Lily. The air grew charged with energy, and a shimmering aura enveloped the young girl.

Suddenly, a soft glow emanated from Lily's fingertips. Gasps of amazement echoed through the crowd as tiny sparks of light danced in the darkness. It became clear that Lily possessed the rare ability to manipulate light and create beautiful illusions.

When Lily owned her powers for just a few weeks, still learning how to use them properly, a server of the enemys kingdom stepped into her room in the middle of the night while she was asleep. 

She wanted to scream for help, when he grabbed her and held a knife against her throat, just to whisper in a harsh tone "One noise from you and I'll kill your entire family infront of your eyes and then you." so she swallowed her scream down and had to witness how he first searched her room for something and then approached her again. 

"Where ist it?" he asked and seemed a little panicked. She shrugged because she had no clue what he could be searching for. Her family wasn't poor but they only had a little more than enough to survive without problems. 

He couldn't have been looking for anything worth. He shook his head in disbelief after another search and then approached her again. "If it's not here, I'll just take you insted" he grinned and now Lily panicked. She wanted to scream for her parents but before a noise could leave her mouth everything went black.

As Lily regained consciousness, she found herself in an unfamiliar place. Confusion and fear coursed through her veins as she struggled to make sense of her surroundings. Bound and gagged, she realized she was inside a dimly lit dungeon, the damp air clinging to her skin.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she desperately tried to recall the events that led to her capture. The last thing she remembered was the menacing intruder in her room. Questions raced through her mind—Who was he? Why did he want her? What did he seek?

In the darkness, a voice echoed from the shadows, filled with malice and authority. "Welcome, young Lily," it sneered. "You possess a power that threatens our kingdom, and I am here to ensure it never sees the light of day."

Lily's eyes widened in realization. Her newfound ability to manipulate light had drawn the attention of those who sought to exploit its potential for darkness and control. She had unwittingly become a pawn in a dangerous game.

Determined not to let fear consume her, Lily summoned all her strength and focused on her magical essence. Despite her restraints, a faint glimmer emanated from her fingertips, casting a soft glow within the dungeon's gloom.

As the light flickered, she caught sight of a fellow captive in an adjacent cell. It was a wise and weathered old man, known as Master Elrik, renowned for his knowledge of ancient magic. His eyes sparkled with recognition as he witnessed Lily's attempt to harness her power.

Master Elrik whispered words of encouragement, guiding Lily in the art of unlocking her true potential. He shared secrets of the light and offered advice on how to navigate the treacherous path that lay before her.
