Fandens POV

I sat silently on the lush cushions that adorned the vintage sofa, a cup of steaming passionfruit tea in her hands. I had drizzled honey in it before moving to the parlor where I currently reside. It had been a week since I last saw Satanas. A deep ache lurks in my chest when I think about our last encounter. I knew I should apologize, but I don't have a clue as to what would be the best way to go about it. I sigh softly, looking down into my tea and gently swirling the cup clockwise. I wasn't even sure when the next time would be that I would see him again. I wish to apologize in person, the thought of a letter seemed appealing but I know I have to face my fear of confrontation and deal with the situation head-on.

"MY QUEEN!" It was General Ravn.

I jumped slightly at the sudden noise, "Yes?"

General Ravn stood in front of me, collecting herself before speaking, "The prisoner has given intel."

I took a moment to reply, knowing this was my chance to speak to Satanas, "Call Satanas here so we can discuss the intel"

General Ravn blinked, "Don't you want to know the information first?"

I shook my head "You can tell Satanas and me when he arrives."

General Ravn nodded and left to call Satanas over.

I sighed softly, taking one last sip from my tea before ridding of it and going to my bedroom. I silently choose a red silk dress and strappy black heels. I dressed slowly, my mind not very present. I brushed through my hair with a wide toothcomb before making my way to my office, waiting for Satanas and General Ravn to arrive.

Satanas and General Ravn entered the office, Satanas sat in one of the chairs at the front of my desk. General Ravn stood to his left.

I nodded at her, signaling her to speak

General Ravn cleared her throat, "As you may know, the prisoner has released information."

I nodded and Satanas leaned forward.

She continued, "The prisoner has admitted that the two clans are planning to forge an alliance and take over our clans."

I raised my brows and Satanas groaned lowly.

Satanas was the first to speak up, "Did he tell when they planned to do this?"

General Ravn shook her head, "No, we have no timeline of when this might occur. He refused to tell."

I sighed and put my head in my hand, "great..."

Satanas was quiet for a moment before speaking again, "We could torture it out of him..."

General Ravn looked at me, she wasn't to take orders from anyone besides me.

I sat in silence, pondering over this option. We could torture it out of the prisoner... it's our only choice at this point. We don't know when the rival clans will strike, and for all we know, it could be tomorrow.

Satanas was now looking at me as well, waiting for my input.

I set a serious look on my face and stood, "Let's go then. General, bring the torture devices and meet us in the chambers"

"Yes, Ma'am." She nodded curtly and set off to retrieve the devices.

Satanas and I quickly made our way down to the chambers where the prisoner was locked up. He didn't say anything for a moment, simply studying my face.

"I'm sorry for overstepping the last time we saw each other." He looked sincerely apologetic.

I stopped walking and looked at him, "No, I'm sorry. You didn't do anything to deserve my rudeness. I shouldn't take my bitterness out on you. Just because you're my enemy's son, doesn't mean you are him. I was too clouded by my distaste for him to recognize that. I hope we can try again, I'd like to be your friend... and One day... become allies with you."
