Never Let Go: A New Problem

I, Riyannah Lihré, hope to ace the finals and makuha ang titulo ng "Summa Cum Laude" of this batch.

Sinabi ko sa sarili ko iyon with high hopes na matupad ko naman. I walked to the library with my bag packed with several books, my iPad, old reviewers na i thought would help me in the future and my headphones.

I found a place to sit in, mostly walang student's sa corner na yun since it was far away--but then, a trio came in. They put their bags down loudly and i heard a loud laugh.

Di ba nila alam they're in a library? I took a closer look and i found out it was Zaiquian Ein and his trio, sina Estelle Lyranna and Lorain Paz.

"Ang ingay nyo naman, Zai at Rian." Sinabi ni Estelle, trying to shut them up. They sighed and took their things out of the bag to study. A few minutes after that, it became quiet-- Just not for long. I heard them laughing loudly and telling various pieces of gossip of surrounding the campus.

I heard elle trying to stop them kaso walang gumana. Diko na kaya sila pakinggan since it was a distraction to everyone-- Students were turning their heads to them. I stood up from the desk and went towards theirs.

"Oh, Ry andyan ka pala." sinabi ni Elle, i said hello back and my gaze went to Zaiquian and Lorain. "And kayo, di ba kayo titigil at magaaral at hindi magkwentuhan lang? May mga nagaaral dito for finals, kung di kayo magaaral sa labas kayo." Sinabi ko sakanila with a blank stare.

It became dead silent, you could even hear the noise from the aircons. Tumayo then si Zai from the table and said "Look, di namin mean to disturb you or others, ito kasi si Rian, kwento ng kwento." He said that as he looked to him with his eyes wide open.

Rian then put his hands up in the air, yung akala mo na he's getting arrested by the police.

He then said "Edi dapat sinabi nyo sakin." All of us didn't mind him and suddenly Zaiquian held me by my wrist, dragging me out of the library.

"Bitaw! What the heck?" Nasa labas na kami ng library because ang kapit ng paghawak niya sakin.

Zaiquain looked puzzled at my words and said "If you want to talk, dapat nasa labas tayo." I just eye rolled at him.

Diba dapat ginawa din nila yun? "That still isn't an excuse to hold my wrist and drag me out. Di mo man lang inask?" Zaiquain crossed his arms and scoffed "You talk parang guro ka, you know? Also, pasensya na. If you want labas kami sa library or i can tell Rian to be quiet. Ayoko na magaway tayo so, I'm sorry."

I just sighed at him, then walking through the doors of the library; leaving him at the entrance. Bahala na siya sa buhay niya, i can't waste my time on a guy like him.

[ time skip to 3 hours ]

Me, Ann and Kenz met up because we wanted to relieve stress especially with the finals, presentations and other stuff.

We were walking in the hallway talking to where we will go, like what café, but then someone with an open water tumbler bumped into us.

"Put--" as i saw the water spil over my uniform. I saw Kenzo's and Ann's eyes suddenly wide open, looking at the water spill caused by this random student.

I heard Kenz asking Ann for tissue and the rattling sound of Ann trying to find it sa bag nya behind my back. "Holy-- I'm sorry, i wasn't looking." Parang familliar yung boses. I then looked up and saw Zaiquian's face. "Ikaw nanaman?" We both said with a tone of surprise from our voices. We didn't expect to see each other again.

"You should watch where your going, alam mo?" I said with a tone in my voice hinting i'm annoyed. Ann is trying to calm me down by whispering to my ear to calm down kaso, with all the stress piling up, i can't contain it.  "Look, i'm sorry. It's a misunderstanding, here just get my jacket para hindi kita" as he handed his jacket to me. I refused but Kenzo and Ann forcefully made me hold it. "Alam mo you should---" "She says thank you, bye Zai. Have a good day" while Kenzo was nodding and smiling to him as he went by the hallway.

"Ann!" I said looking at her. "It was for your own safety. Zai is popular around school, madami syang fan girls, Rie." followed by Kenzo saying "I agree with Ann. When we practice, Ang daming fan girls on the bleachers sitting there watching him play. Just wear the jacket, parang sinuot mo yung basa mo'ng uniform" I wore the sweater with bitterness flashing through my eyes. As we were walking, all eyes were towards us. I heard whispers, nagtaka ako kung bakit but i just brushed it off.

We were at the café and we found a spot to sit at. I then removed the jacket since my uniform seemed dry already, and thats how i found out why people were whispering.

The jacket he was wearing seemed normal until you looked at the back. It had his name embroidered at the back. Sobrang linaw at ang laki pa. Lumaki yung mata ko when i saw it. I put my hands to my head and Kenz and Ann noticed it. I could hear Ann nagpipigil ng tawa pero si Kenzo, walang hiya ang lakas niyang tumawa.  "Libre nalang kita.." sabi ni Ann, patting my back while Kenzo was still laughing like a maniac. Ann slapped Kenzo's thigh, signaling for him to stop. I wanted to disappear at that specific moment. "Order na kami ha? Iced Americano? Okay?" As they walked towards the counter.

I then pulled out my phone and tried to distract myself by watching random videos and fixing up my schedule. I just wanted to disappear right then and there. Nakakahiya, sobra.
