"Are you sure you want to go through with this Cody?" Noah asked Cody. Cody was about to propose to Courtney. They were at a fancy cuisine where Noah worked part-time. Noah had been taking care of Cody's $800 ring.
"I'm dead sure." Cody said. Noah handed over the ring. Cody looked Noah in the eye.
"If she says no then you gotta promise to burn my house down with me in it." Cody said seriously. Noah laughed. "She's not going to say no. I think the actually really likes you Cody." Noah assured Cody.
"Here goes everything." Cody said walking back to the table. When Cody went over to Courtney he didn't sit down. Romantic music started playing and the room went dark with a light on Cody and Courtney.
"Courtney... my time with you has been amazing." Cody said getting down on one knee. "You brighten my life, make me laugh, and you're protective of me. I am completely in love with you Courtney. So I want to know... if I could live the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" Cody proposed. Cody quickly took out the ring afterwards.
Courtney's mouth hung open for about 30 seconds. It felt like ages to Cody. Them she said this...
"You played my favorite song, got me and expensive ring, took me out for a $300 dinner, bought spotlights and made the room go dark except for you and me, and even put it my favorite temperature... just to propose to me?" Courtney asked.
"Uh... y-y-yeah... I g-got a little help... b-but yes..." Cody stampered. Courtney went over to Cody and made him stand up.
"First if all, I really need to talk to you more if you have that much free time. And I can perfectly do that by marrying you." Courtney said and kissed Cody. The lights went on and everyone in the restaurant started clapping and cheering. Courtney broke the kiss and looked at Cody.
"I need to know one thing Cody. Are you able to handle the stress of having me as your wife. There are times where it can be very stressful for you, and most of my ex-boyfriends never made it to proposal because of these reasons. Are you sure you want to marry me?" Courtney asked.
"Yes." Cody responded. "The stressful moments are just one of the reasons I love you. You spice it up Court." he added. Courtney hugged Cody after he said this.
"Um... I'll leave the bill for everything right here..." Noah said putting the bill for $1,355 on the table.
