"Woah!" Jooheon violently flew up.His chest went up and down while trying to recover from the dream. Jooheon put his hand on his heart, and let one final breath out.
"My dreams are always so jolting, so unfair." He mumbled with his head facing downwards.
"...My bed..."
He stared at the covers and sheets that weren't his. His were white. Not these striped, red ones. What, he would never choose that type of pattern and color together.
'Did someone change them while I was sleeping? Am I that deep of a sleeper? Must have been the alcohol.'
He looked up and his stomach dropped. This was not his room. It was not his dorm.
He thought about a kidnapping, but if it is, they didn't try very hard. The window next to the bed leads outside.
He, after working up some courage, got up from the bed. His clothes were different as well. Someone changed him?
He slowly walked over to the desk which had something on it...
It was a worksheet with math equations that were numbered. Only half of them were solved. At the top of the paper held a name.
LEE JOOHEON .... September 21, 2010
Speechless, it rendered Jooheon speechless. He could only stare at the paper. Once his world stopped collapsing, he looked around, and recognized the room he was in.
"Ah, it's mine." Jooheon said like an idiot.
"I'M OFF FOR WORK!" His dad yelled.
He didn't want to open the door to see. He didn't want to move. What even was this? How could this be happening? This is real life?
"This is real life... No way..."
Well, he hadn't seen his parents in a while. The idol schedule made him incredibly busy, so he had no chance to visit them. There was a fatigue that stuck with him, no matter what, so he almost didn't want to see his parents. Not in the state he was in.
Creak..
Jooheon opened the door. He was a bit on edge. This situation was unreal after all.
"Maybe this a prank."
It was in the back of his mind that someone might be joking with him. But he knows not to lie to himself. And that their faces will show the truth.
Unless, they used makeup to hide their wrinkles. It wouldn't be surprising since they may have went through all of this effort to replicate what his bedroom looked like in the past.
He started walking down the hallway, but instead of going to the front, where he heard his parents, he went to the bathroom. Jooheon turned the light on and smiled.
"I do look younger." He said, suprised.
He wanted to try washing his face to take the makeup off. It had to be makeup. Don't underestimate makeup artists' skills. But he didn't just yet.
'They really want me to believe it's not the '20s anymore and that i'm back to the '10s.'
The fact that someone went this far to prank him slowly sank in. It was going to be like that for a while, until he figured out how to get out of the act. Still making progress taking in the unreal situation, Jooheon stepped into the kitchen.
The first few tiles you walk on into the kitchen are the most squeaky. His mom had her back to him, and she was facing the sink. Washing dishes in the moring as she had in the past, she heard his steps on those tiles.
