Fallen

My feet hit the dirt, twisting and turning as I struggle around overgrown trees and thick bushes. Crashing to the ground, my left foot tangles up in vines. Pain sears through my scraped and bleeding knees as I try to drag myself back up. My attempts are in vain.

Cold, clammy fingers wrap around my ankle. I'm drowning beneath the undead hands when the first screams pierce my ears.

My screams.

Corroded canines tear into my flesh sending waves of pain through my body. My stomach twists, nauseated by the smell of rotting muscle.

Zombies should've stayed in the movies.
