Happy Pride!

Hey everyone this is a quick brief over the years. It has been 4 years since Sophie and Keefe adopted Joy and Joy and her girlfriend are celebrating pride at her house and Happy Pride!

Me and Scarlett were talking about what we were going to do for the pride parade. Yes, elves do celebrate pride month and it is awesome! Scarlett suggested we just watch it from the house with the pride flag around us. But I didn't like that idea I asked

"How about we actually go?"

She shook her head and said "I don't know my parents don't even know that I have a girlfriend or that I'm even gay"

She puts her head down and frowns. I know what she is thinking I tell her quickly shutting down whatever shes thinking

"Love, your mom is flippen Lihn Endal! I think she'll be fine with it!"

Then a idea came up in my mind

"How about we tell your mom I know we did it with my family but we can just do it more simple"

She nodded at the idea and I kissed her. It was quick but still amazing.

The next day we planned how we were going to tell her parents it was June 1st so we had 29 days left of pride month. When we agreed how she was going to do it we headed to her place. I held her hand as we walked up to her house. Her parents opened the door, Wylie Endal and Lihn Endal opened it. Scarlett told her parents

"I need to talk to you guys about me and Joy"

They nodded and let us in. We all sat down next to Scarlett and I let her take the lead. She said

"Okay I'm just going to rip off the banded aid and say it I'm lesbian and Joy is my girlfriend"

They looked stunned but not upset or anything bad Lihn opened her mouth and said

"Honey, its okay and we still love you as you are and were happy for you"

I held her and kissed her cheek. I told her

"See I told you they will be fine with it!"

She laughed. Gods I loved her laugh (Who gets the Gods reference? And it's not from a religion, it's from a series) It was music to my ears to hear her laugh and it felt like a victory to make her laugh. We headed to her room and watched the pride parade on her laptop which I got for her when I went to the Forbidden Cities with mom. That was the best pride month ever.
