“Where is she?” San whispered.

You smiled, nodding to the crib in the corner of the room.

A smile spread across San’s face as he walked over and lifted his youngest child, and only daughter, out from her cot.

“Hey Princess,” he smiled, looking in wonder as she stretched her arms and legs, her eyes fighting to open, “look! Look! She’s looking at me!”

You chuckled, “bring her over here.”

San hummed, walking over with a slight bounce to keep the baby happy, sitting beside you on the hospital bed so that you could see your daughter.

“How are the boys?” you asked, tickling Bora’s hand slightly as you looked up to your husband’s face.

“They were so excited when they found out she was a girl,” San chuckled, not taking his eyes off his daughter, “all of them.”

“How are they doing? Wook?” you said, worried about how your sons, especially your youngest, were coping without their mum.

“They’re fine,” San murmered, kissing your forehead gently, “stop worrying, Mama. Just enjoy your time with your daughter.”

You chuckled, “I would if you would stop being a baby hog!”

San gasped in mock-offensive as the two of you laughed. He handed the tiny baby over to you, the girl squirming to get comfortable in your arms.

“See? How much she loves her Mummy,” San said, his voice barely above a whisper.

“It’s nothing compared to how much I love her,” you said, raising her chubby hand to your mouth and kissing it, “and how much love she’ll recieve from her Daddy, her big brothers, her Uncles, her grandparents—”

“And great-grandparents,” San added, “they’ve already planned a trip down to meet her.”

“No!” you scolded, “don’t let them do that! We’ll go and see them!”

“That’s what I said,” San said defensively, “they said that it’ll be too long of a wait, they have to see her now.”

You laughed, staring down at the baby in your arms, “you have so much love already, baby girl.”

“And she always will,” San whispered, leaning down and kissing her forehead before coming back up and kissing yours, “can you believe we have five kids?”

“When you took me on a date to an ice-skating rink, I did not think this was what the future was going to look like.”

“You didn’t tell me you didn’t like skating!” San exclaimed.

You laughed, shrugging, “I still enjoyed it.”

“I hope so, you’re holding our fifth child,” San said, nodding down at Bora.

You chuckled, laying the baby on your thighs so she was looking at you and San.

“She’s gonna be overwhelmed when she meets the boys, isn’t she?” San said, keeping his voice happy so a smile would appear on his daughter’s face.

“Mm-hmm,” you nodded, the same tone of voice, “they’re wild!”

“They’re going to be our Princess’s guards, though,” San said, “Hana already told me.”

You grimaced, “that’s even worse.”
