"I'm sorry," she whispered, bowing her head with a grace that made her seem almost unreal. The air around her shimmered, her beauty carrying the weight of an apology deeper than words.

I sat by the window at a café, absentmindedly stirring my coffee, waiting for my friend. The light chatter of people and the faint aroma of roasted beans filled the air. Just as I was checking my phone, a sudden jolt startled me—someone had bumped into me, sending hot coffee splattering across my coat.

“Oh my God, I’m so sorry!” a girl gasped, her voice soft yet full of concern. I looked up, and for a moment, I was taken aback. Her face was delicate, almost ethereal, framed by loose waves of chestnut hair. She seemed out of place in the noisy café, like a painting come to life.

“It’s okay, really,” I said, trying to brush off the mess with a smile. But she wasn’t convinced.

“No, look at your jacket! It’s all my fault.” Her brow furrowed in worry as she bit her lip, clearly feeling worse than I did.

“It’s just a jacket,” I replied, attempting to calm her down.

She shook her head, her eyes earnest and unwavering. “No, please. I won’t feel right unless I fix this. Give me your jacket and your Kakao ID. I’ll get it dry cleaned and return it to you by tomorrow.”

I hesitated, glancing at the stain, but mostly distracted by how striking she looked up close. Her sincerity was impossible to ignore.

“You really don’t have to,” I said, half trying to be polite, half wanting to keep talking to her.

“Please,” she insisted, her eyes almost pleading. “I won’t feel at ease otherwise.”

With a slight chuckle, I finally gave in. “Alright, if it means that much to you.”

She smiled, visibly relieved, as I handed her my coat and Kakao ID. “Thank you. I’ll get it back to you, I promise.”

As she walked away, the scent of her perfume lingered faintly in the air. I watched her disappear into the crowd, feeling a strange pull, like I had just met someone I wouldn’t forget. Her image kept playing over and over in my mind, her beauty and the warmth in her voice staying with me.

“Jimin... Jimin... PARK JIMIN!” A voice suddenly jolted me out of my thoughts.
