chapter 4

A few months after Allison and Madison's 10th birthday, Linda (Leo's mum) came knocking on our door.

Leo never liked his mum as when he was younger she was never around and she cheated on his dad.

"Suprise!" Linda squealed as she hugged and kissed the twins. She handed them each an expensive-looking phone and sang them happy birthday before Leo angrily commented "Their birthday was 3 months ago!"

"All right, so I'm a bit late there's no big deal Leo." She said as she stepped forward to embrace him.

Leo slapped her arms away and grimaced. Then she came over to me and said "Aren't you doing well Jade, marrying Mr Stingy and having twins."

I chuckled and asked if she was planning on staying long. She said no and smiled sweetly at Leo before asking him"Do you have any cash for your dear mum, love"

"Get out of my house!" Growled Leo. He pushed her out of the door and turned to go back to our bedroom.

I poured some popcorn into 2 bowls and brought one to our huge living room for the twins to share while watching a movie.

The other bowl I shared with Leo while we also watched a movie then slowly drifted off to sleep.
